So you've made it this far - and I'm here to accompany on the next stage of your journey.
Now before you all go protesting (or getting fangirly on me), just here me out.
You want to get to Obernewtyn, and well, I want to
help you get to Obernewtyn.
It's not as strange as you might think.
I have come into possession of a flying contraption which the Beforetimers refer to as a 'Helicopter'. It has the ability to ascend to great heights and to move through the air. It sounds idea for your next stage of the journey does it not?
Now, I do confess, I've not yet *quite* yet gotten used to the controls of the device, but I've no doubt that I'll be able to quite soon given my superior intellect.
... I see some of your snicker. Well, unfortunately for you lot, there is only limited space in my helicopter and the price to ride is high. In fact, to make the doubters amongst you out there aware of their foolishness, the task I set for you is this:
Write me a poem, any poem - hiaku, limerick, cinquain, whatever - but it has to be about me and our trip in this glorious helicopter to the highlands near where Obernewtyne reside. The poem also has to reveal who I - your pilot is. I'll give you a hint - I'm an Obernewtyn character.I know; it narrows it down doesn't it?
Oh, and be sure that any poem you compose does not exceed
250 words. I do not have time to read through prattling.
Well, you had better make a start, you've only got until
midnight AEST Saturday 16 October 2010.
