I have had two dreams in all my years that have come true. One was about my opponent in a netball game the other was that Collingwood FC would win the ANZAC day cup. Both very trivial and not nearly as useful as lottery numbers but both came true. Anyone else had this happen? (FYI: I am not actually a Collingwood supporter!)
i'v had loads of them. almost always it was jsut something trivial and often i had dreamt it years before it happened and only remembered it again when the dream actually came true. a few times it was a dream of watching televison. one time it was a part of a transformers episode. and when i was watching it it was like i remembered watching it before and it happening the exact same way. iv had extreme feelings of deja vu too. i dislike both a lot (the true dreams and the deja vu).
a friend of mine told me that she has had true dreams about her family and friends. her dreams were significant, not trivial as mine generally were. she said that it scared her.
My mother had a dream when she saw a baby in the bin and then the next day a baby was found alive and safe in a bin in an alleyway where a woman passing by heard its cries and found it.
You're not alone lol, talk to her and she'll tell you about a lot of true dreams she's had lol.
i've had a lot of true dreams, but like Fuil Dearg I dream it ages before it happens and only remember when it comes true.
yeah i have had a few true dreams my self. It must be because i know alot of psychics [img]http://s2.images.proboards.com/tongue.gif" alt=":P" border="0"/> must of rubbed off [img]http://s2.images.proboards.com/wink.gif" alt=";)" border="0"/>
it can be rather .................... disturbing
but always watch out for them i can't think of any of mine i've had so many
but some are good some are bad
There used to be times when true dreams happened to me except that the instant that the dream and real life happened, I'd get this massive headache. So really, I don't like them.
i get them too.
sometimes wen i realise that wat im seeing i dreamed once, and in that dream i dreamt of myself realising i'd dreamt it...does that make sense 2 u? i hate that coz itz like going through something for the 1st time 3 times in a row in a few seconds
and mine are a mixture of significance and not. sometimes i realise that wat im looking at was something i dreamed, but then i remember wat happens next in the dream and i can nearly always change wat happens if itz something i dont want 2 happen. but most of the time i try 2 avoid it but end up doing wat the dream said like i have no control...
I don't remember this cause I was 4 or 5 years old but our cat Apple was lost. And my sis had a gream in which Apple came back and she woke up saying, "Mom, Apple's back" and sure enough there was a meow and Apple was back.
The first true dream i remember having was in preprimary. we'd all gotten these gifts for xmas. i dreamt that i opened it and i had gotten a red mug with a snow man on it. after a month or so, mum asked if i was going to open the present. i told her id already opened it and it was a red mug with a snow man on it and the scarf was running around the handle. i was (and still am) stubborn, so when she told me i hadn't, i wouldnt agree, not until she got out my old school bag and in it was my present, unwrapped. i was positive id already unwrapped it. that was when i remembered it had been a dream. i dismissed the thought and unwrapped the present. it was exactly as i had dreamed it. that was the most detailed true dream ive had, but ive had other ones that, like some others have mentioned, i dont remember them until they're happening, i get major deja vu, and i remember in the dream remembering id had the dream before. confusing, isn't it? i guess we really are Misfits in a way. Yay! ;D
I dreamt about two girls who were having a fight at school and a week later it happened! and the fight was about the same reason I dreamt it was about!

Sometime last year I had a dream that my Chemistry teacher asked me a question, and I didn't know the answer. In the dream, both me and the teacher were disappointed that I didn't know. The next afternoon, I studied Chemistry, in particular focusing on the question that I hadn't known in my dream. Two days later, my teacher asked me the question from the dream, but this time, I knew the answer. I was proud and a little astounded that a dream had actually helped me to correctly focus my studies, but I didn't think anything of it. Is it possible that is was more than a conincidence? That is the only true dream I have had? Can it be considered a true dream because of the slight differences?
I've been reading a book lately about the strange and seemingly unexplainable things that animals can do. You know, like react to the phone ringing when it's someone they are attached to calling, yet completely ignore it when it's a stranger, or miracuously find their way across long distances where they have never been before. Even things like comforting their owners or other people when they're deply upset. I know this isn't really related to true dreams, but it is related to the idea of Misfits. The book seems to suggest that these abilities are things that humans once had, but the majority, no longer do. When I was reading Isobelle's books, I thought it was all purely fantasy. Sure, I liked the idea of it, but that doesn't mean that it's real. Now I'm not so sure. What does everyone think?
I have the very occasional dream that comes true, like me winning our TOM (tournament of minds) National final, but that might just be my subconscience pushing me to work harder and egging me on! And I also have dreams about books and movies I have nver read or seen, and they can be quite similar(although usually they are completely different lol)! But then agin I'm no futureteller! I'm more of an empath!
Kaede- I believe that animals really do have Misfit abilities. I've been sick lately, and my cat has been sleeping on my bed. She stopped for three nights and it got worse. Wierd.
Cameo- I'm sort of like an empath too (or at least I think I am... not that I would trust myself).
Life is wierd.
I'll try to keep this smallish - I'm a terrible ranting, ravving rambler but I'll try to go against my nature, if thats possible...
This happened a few years ago - I had a dream my dog died, it was a Thursday morning that I dreamt it and I know I dreamt it because it was the first words I said to my mum when I woke up that morning. He died the following the Thursday in a freak thing. He was 6 years old and perfectly healthy and the manner in which he died wasn't really something that could be predicted or something I was subconsciously aware of that would have triggered the dream. After he died I asked mum if I had told her about my dream the week before just to make sure I wasn't lieing to myself and she remembered that I had.
...I'm not real sure why I got that dream - I just put it down to that I was very close to my dog, he seemed to always come when I was sad, when new people came to the house he always put himself between me and the personand stayed there, a few times when someone came too close to me that wasn't my mum or dad he tried to attack them (my dog had some MAJOR protective issues) and I was never sure of what would happen if he died, I didn't know how I'd manage without him - so the dream I figured (and I got this more from what happened in the dream which is long and arduous mostly) was given to me to help me find understanding, or acceptance in the wake of his death.
So yeah... thats my story...
I hate dreams about puppies dying *cries* my story is actually pretty similar...
On monday morning I woke up crying, because I'd had a dream that my puppy, Toby, had gotten out and been run over by a truck. He's never gotten out of the yard before, and I couldn't find any way that he would be able to get out.
Last night (Thursday) we went surfing, and left Toby and Roxy in the back yard as always. I made sure they both had their collars and tags on before we left (something I rarely remember to do).
We didn't get home until late, and as we were driving past our neighbour's house, my gf slammed on the breaks, and told me to get out of the car. I looked out the window and there was Toby, happily digging in the neighbour's yard. Lucky that he's white, or we probably wouldn't have noticed him.
Kaede! I totally believe that every misfit talent is based off of things that Isobelle has seen in humans in some small way at least. Where else would it come from? So I do believe that we can be misfits!
On the topic of true dreams mine are usually hazy and irrelevant as well, but when something comes true i get a really wierd deja vu feeling and whenever it happens I say deja vu and that feeling lasts the whole day until i wake up the next morning. The strongets deja vu feeling i've ever had happened a couple of days ago when I was watching the Anime, Fruits basked. It was sorta in the middle of the series and all of a sudden i felt queezy and like I'd really seen this before, but I knew I hadn't. Then, I felt like I was floating about m body and kinda blacked out and remembered my dream exactly like the part of the show I was watching. Then I came back but the queezy feeling was still there. It was kinda cool, but only after the fact. The feeling was extremely uncomfortable and really really creepy. Idk why though. It just was.
I believe I'm a coercer tho! It's really wierd bc pretty much allmy life, ok since i could think more deeply, about 5th grade, and a little before that, I had this thing that my family and I call want power. If I wanted something badly enough it would come to me. It might take some time, but it would happen. I told a couple of people and they never believed me, but my parents witnessed it happening. It doesn't happen instantly but they would know I wanted a thing and then I would get it. It was usually really trivial thing though and I trully have to want it with all my heart otherwise it doesn't come. This happened once when I wanted to win the lottery really badly, I gave my dollar to my mom to go buy the lottery ticket, then I filled it out and handed it to the lady at the counter. A couple of days later my mom walked into my room and said I had won 7 dollars in the lottery! It wasn't that much, but it's because I wasn't specific, I still won. There are other examples but I'll stop there! haha! ;D
I've had a lot of true dreams, most of them involve conversations with people i know, and then within a week, I have the exact same conversation. Also, it oftens happens that when I think of something that I haven't thought of in a while over the next three days i will have at least one conversation pertaining to the subject. Sometimes these things come in dreams, eg. A week ago I dreamt of tv show i hadn't seen since I was a little kid, then two days later I saw a bunch of things on a site i was on for school work, and all of them were about this show. Weird huh, I can also make it work like Moonfire's want power.
not really as big as lots of these other ones but i was once dreaming that i wasnt there and all my friends were singing a song and then i woke up and it wwas on the radio. probably a coincadence though

hmm.. i think that that's more your mind incorperating what's happening while your asleep :P
well, i always get deja vou... its really strange, like a little while ago when kaede posted in a thread (i can't remember which) and i looked over at the 'recent posts' section over on the left to see who'd posted, and what she'd written (the preview, i mean) looked really familiar and set my deja vou off.. i know that i'd seen it some where before, but i didn't know where...
on the subject of true dreams: one night i dreamt that one of my good friends (hehehe my crush |:| ) was riding down one of the back roads through our town (its basically a highway, but almost nobody uses it, so its practically deserted) by 'riding' i mean motorbike, he's on his P's now. so, in my dream he was riding down the road, he was speeding because he was late and it was going to rain. something distracted his and he hit a pothole and spun out and hit a tree...
this isn't a normal dream for me... for those of you who don't know my normal dreaming paterns, they're really strange and weird... so naturally i told some of my friends, and then i eventually got around to telling him the really wierd dream... we joked about it and he jokingly said that he'd try not to wrap himself around a tree any time soon and let it slide as a crazy dream... about 3 weeks later he was riding down the same back road towards his house, he was late because extention went for too long and his mum was worrying about him riding home in the rain... somthing distracted him, but he told me that for a split second he remembered the conversation that we had, so when he hit the pothole he made himself turn to the right... his bike colided with the tree, but he didn't get more than a scratch because he rolled to the side of the road...
twas strange ~:| the rest of my dream involved monkeys, trains and a trip to sydney... none of which happened...
btw, that sounds major, but it wasn't... all the bike riders at my school have had several crashes like this, so its kinda common... for about a period everyone's all 'omg! crash' then they kinda don't care anymore :P
I have dreams and i write them down to use as plots for my stories, and a few days ago i went to the library and got out a book i had never read before, and its plot was my dream!!!!
weird...
I don't have true dreams as such, well not dreams that I remember, but I get massive feelings of deja vu. I'm constantly in situations where I think, hey Ive been here before, and I have to wonder if I'm dreaming about these things and then just forgetting them. I always forget dreams, there are only a few, really random ones that I remember ~:|
So far I've had one true dream as far as I can remember. I dreamed about a person in my class. We sat next to each other in class the next day. We changed seats each day and to find out who we would sit next to we had a raffle. I didn't know who I'd sit next to.

I had a quick dream a few days ago about a work colleague and one of her twin daughters. It was only simple. I was talking with the woman, and her daughter was near by drawing. The woman said something and her daughter said she was making a card for a sick person, but she was angry because it turns out the person wasn't actually sick, they were just pretending.
When I spoke to my work colleague about it, she said I wasn't far off. Apparently the daughter that was in my dream overheard her mum talking to another person. The conversation was about another work colleague of ours who told everybody her son was sick, with leukaemia, and was dying, which (I found out by talking about my dream) was a complete fabrication.
That was one hell of a true dream, it certainly made working with this lying colleague hard.
