My subconscious internal factors seem to effect my dreams. For example last year I had reaccuring dreams about my teeth rotting and falling out, I ended up getting my first wisdom tooth. Had another tooth rotting dream about a month ago and now my second wisdom tooth came through.
Similar thing happened when I was younger, I used to have reaccuring dreams about my ribs being broken and being unable to breath. I had pretty severe asthma as a child which I think that may have been the cause of.
Movies, books and TV tend to infulence my dreams too. I have had a dream about the character's from POTC. Will and Elizabeth were sitting in old grandma bed's eating condensed milk out of tins while listening to the old grandma tell horror stories about Jack Sparrow :P I also had a LOST dream where the 'monster' was actually leaves blowing around in the shape of a dinosaur. Haven't had a Doctor Who dream yet though :| I've also had a dream with Ariel in it but I'm not 100% certain because he seemed to look a lot like one of my own character's and I don't remember what happened in it
You've dreamed of Ariel? (< *is jealous*)
Though once I had a dream about the BBCs Robin Hood... and all the season 2 characters were there... until I accidentally dreamed Jack out of existence in a brief moment of lucidity and stole Will away from her |:|
I want to dream about Ariel toooooo >:I
Weirdly enough, most of my dreams seem to come from left feild. I had a dream about Dan Macdonald, a classmate of mine, with whom I have not had a class together since 8th grade (I'm in college now). The pinnacle of our relationship had to be when, one day durring english, I told him that rubbing his eyes so much was probably the reason why he had to wear glasses.
And yet, despite not thinking of him, nor talking to him in YEARS, I had a dream with him in it maybe a month ago! He didn't look like himself, but I knew it was Dan. We went on a date, even though I am not even remotely attracted to him...
I think what affects my dreams is more likely to be what time I go to bed. I tended to remeber my dreams more, as well as having more normal dreams, when I would go to bed at like 9:30pm for a whole month as a junior, while as soon as I stopped that, I resumed my erratic dreaming with my erratic sleep cycle.
whenever im in school i barely hav any dreams but in the holidays i hav weird ones. like serouisly weird. 2 headed flamingo weird. 8-|
I had to do an assignment on dreams once and some dude apparently has this theory that dreams depend on the layout of the dreamers long term memory or something like that. It's only a theory and I can't remember it well but I thought I should say something. :P
I am always having vivid dreams. Always about my friends and family. Sometimes they're really nice dreams, but most of the time, they always involve death. i always wake up in the middle of the night to find myself crying. Although, i have no idea what causes these dreams that feel so real!
