Hello everyone and welcome to the new Artistsmerge forum. A place of inspiration and help for those artists amongst us.
First of all I’d like to introduce to you our Artistsmerge Guardians. We will be around ready and eager to answer questions or help you out and should you have any issues with the forum, please feel free to let one of us know.
First of all we have a few familiar Guardian faces: Min
I am very happy to announce we also have two excellent new Guardians to add to the mix. These are two people who have been familiar and indispensable faces around Obernet for a long time, both also holding guild leadership positions. As well as their Guild positions, these guys have been working behind the scenes for a few months now, helping to get this forum up and running, as well as helping out with general Obernet business with the other MoOs and Guardians in Guildhall.
All: Get on with it
Ahem anyway, without further ado I would like to announce that Ness
will also be new Artistsmerge Guardians
Now the question I’m sure you’re all asking. What is Artistsmerge for?
Artistsmerge has been set up as a place to share knowledge about all things art. For the Beginner to the more advanced. It will be for:
- Posting images you’ve been working on for feedback or help.
- Asking help with more complicated questions than resizing sigs or getting your avatars to work. (Image Help
can still be found in the Help forums
for these more common questions)
- Posting up tutorials for programs such as Photoshop, GIMP, ImageReady, Illustrator or any other imaging program you can think of.
- Anything else you can think of.
Some handy threads you might like to check out are the FAQ List
, which will provide a master list of links to all of the tutorials currently in this forum. A list which we all hope will grow and expand. You might also like to visit the Artistsmerge Resources
thread which has a handy list of links to other useful pages from places to download fonts, to useful stock image websites.
On behalf of all the Guardians I’d like to wish you a fun and creative time here at Artistsmerge.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here.
