Summary: Glynn coughs and vomits up water. A man is saying that she is fortunate that Solen saw her. Solen replies that he would not have if he weren't so ill himself. The conversation continues with speculation on how "the girl" had gotten into the water, ending in the theory that she was washed down the Nivian from Fromhika, while drunk in a coracle. She recalls being drunk when young and thinks that this feeling is similar except for teh paralysis.
The topic changes to whether she is Fromhikan or a Myrmidon with the shipmaster Carick finally deciding she is Fromhikan and ordering her taken below where she is placed on a hard bunk. Carick decides to turn back to Fromhika but Solen objects. Glynn wonders where she has been washed to as though she can understand the words the voices sound strange. She fianally manges to open her eyes only to be surprised by her odd surroundings and the piratical outfits of the old amn and girl and the tight fitting body suit of the younger man. She believes she is dreaming.
The trio of strangers realise she is awake and begin to question her. A she can't reply, Solen suggests she has swallowed bittermute algae though Carick disagrees as the water here is rough. Solen then suggests they go to Eron Isle as Argon White Cloak lives as an exile there. He and Carick argue about the Draakar blackwind bring bad luck but Carick gives in and theyset out for the Isle. Aris, shipsdaughter, assures Glynn that all is well.
The ship arrives as Eron Isle to find Argon waiting for them having woven their arrival. he comes aboard and is very surprised to see Glynn, (he seems to have been expecting someone else,) he examines her by placing his hands over her chakra confirming Solens idea that she has swallowed the algae though her colour seems wrong and her prime chakra is oddly aspected which can cause confusion but is only temporary. Carick offers to have Glynn taken to Argon's dwelling but Argon refuses saying that he will travel with them the next day after the storming her has woven. He continues to treat glynn causing her some embarassment.
Talk turns to Acantha and Jurass who is half brother to Argon, then to the further voyage. Solen explains he will miss a wing ceremony as he has accompanied Flay to the Darkfall Landing against Jurass's orders. Argon, having living on Darkfall for a time, is blunt and nasty about the Misty Isle. Solen suggests that if Argon is heading for Myrmidor he might take "the girl" with him; saying that Carick would try to leave her on Fromhika to save himself the trouble of returning her. Argon turns this around on Solen by reminding him that the ship code says that the one who pulled her from the water is responsible for her, meaning Solen, he then stumps upstairs.
