Just as there have been several similarities drawn between Ember and Shenavyre, I've noticed that there are echoes of Duran in Glynn.
1) They both lost their parents to accidents during their early adolescence
2) They both began learning martial arts in their early adolescence (glynn started age 14, Duran completed rhiad age 14)
3) They both excelled at it to a noteworthy extent (Duran becomes the youngest ever leader of the myrmidons, Glynn becomes Wind's Gym's star pupil)
4) They have similar life philosophies/ways of thinking (Feyt tells Glynn that she sounds like Duran when they are on the way to the citadel in Darksong)
I thought we could use this thread to discuss any other similarities we might find and their possible significance.
I know what you mean. Isnt there heaps of hints in the books that everything in the Unravellers world is echoed slightly in Keltor? I think it is heaps mysterious. I think that eventually Glynn might become a myrmidon.....
I don't know but I think that what ever happens it will affect our world. It may be a matter of working out whether what happens in Keltor ripples our to our world or vice versa
If Glynn does become a myrmidon, which seems likely, it is also highly possible that Ember becomes a soulweaver and she continues to protect her. After all, Ember not only has soulweaving tendancies, but undertaking the Darkfall process would also help negate the blindness left by her tumor. Even in our world, Glynn acted as myrmidon protecter for Ember.
