No, sorry Loren, they haven't told us yet!
AHHHHH I just watched it (via BBC iPlayer and Hola!) and OUAHJLKEIOPAUF&UDTG it was good!
Sooo good that it's back! New ep today!!
First ep though... OML re everything from:
- the moustache references
- how awesomely accepting Mary is of their bromance
- the Moriarty and Sherlock kiss!!!!!!!
Love love LOVE!
Just finished watching the latest episode (The Sign of Three) - apparently there have been some complaints in the UK because the episode is a bit off-beat compared to the others, but I'd say they're a bunch of whiners. :P
I am in love with season 3.
I woke up my housemate laughing at "signs of three" last night I made her watch part of it so she would understand why was unable to contain myself.
favorite signs of three moments-
Lestrade kicking the car and turning up at Baker St with all the backup
Sherlock thinking his morning tea just appeared
The maid of honour hitting on Sherlock
The eyeball tea
Sherlock wedding planning- scaring the usher, bribinTg the ring bearer and telling Mary who doesn't like her based on the RSVPs.
Sherlock being jealous of Major Sholto
The whole forgetting to respond aloud part...
And of course that best man SPEECH!!
I could go on all night.
Although Mycroft in workout mode was disturbing!
Favorite "the empty hearse" moments-
Sherlock and Mycroft discussing their introduction to other children
John being too preoccupied to notice Sherlock in the restaurant
the comment about John's mustache not washing off
Moriaty and Sherlock and 'the kiss'
and many more, but i cant remember to list them all
Haha, I'd agree with the UKians that the latest episode was definitely to a different beat, but I wouldn't say it was a bad thing. It was a special kind of episode in a way so it needed to be that bit different anyway and besides, how can one
not just absolutely love drunk Sherlock? I mean just look at all his wonderful deductions: egg chair thing!
Yeah I watched the second episode last night, and it was different, but pretty cool. Drunk Sherlock was awesome!
Now for some serious speculation here, I've seen about that everyone thinks that Mary is going to be the villain here, or that she is going to die. I wish for neither of these things. But there was a weird little thing that was floating around tumblr (which came to a facebook group I'm apart of Sherlockfighters - an offshoot of the Australian Nerdfighter page (which is a group of people brought together to decrease world suck because of the Vlogbrothers [who are John and Hank Green {yes that John Green |how many things can I put inside other things?|}]) that there were shots of Mary with devil horns, and Mycroft with angles wings. Perhaps the writers threw that in there to just make everyone who pays attention to that sort of thing go hyper, but who knows.
Because at the moment the villain of the series is that weird old man from the end of episode one, and he wasn't at all (or as far as we know) involved in episode two. So who on earth is that man?

Daniel, I've posted a link in the spoiler to an article which answers your question.

I'm thinking that Charles Augustus Magnussen is Mary's ex-boyfriend, ex-relationship, and he blackmailed her. But I just don't know why. I feel like this series is a little off...but I know they are just focusing on the relationships rather than the cases. I love drunk Sherlock!
But everyone knows that Mary dies in childbirth, right?
oh my lud... a John and Sherlock raised child...
I'm probably the only one in the universe who hasn't seen it, but in case I'm not and other east coasters are waiting to watch it legally, channel 9 has said it starts wednesday week....which would be February 5
Legally schmegally :nods: I watched it again on the BBC website and I think the third episode is the best out of the whole series - even out of all three series. I think Season three is more about building the characters if anything else. I also think that when you watch it as a whole series (S1,S2, & S3) back-to-back the differences in season three don't really show. It's just so amazing to see Sherlock act 'human', which is what series three is all about. I almost cried in S3E3. SO GOOD!

I've been pretty slow jumping on the Sherlock bandwagon, but now that I have, I love it! I bought the first season from JB, then my housemates bought me the second and third seasons for my birthday. We're still only on season 2 though. We've just watched Hounds of the Baskerville. The really annoying thing is we've made a STUPID pact not to watch it without each other, and it is so rare when the three of us are all home at the same time in the evening and not swamped by uni work! Gah! The wait between episodes is unbearable but I can't break the damn pact!
