That's rather amazing, Jossie, particularly given how time consuming work has been for you. Congratulations :).
I was finally able to calculate exactly how many words I have so far... and I hit 100,166 words with last night's spontaneous writing session!! I have achieved my goal!!!!! YAY.
I might be quiet again with writing, until the next write in as work continues to drove me mad with how busy it will be.
Wow!!! CONGRATULATIONS :D :D
Congrats Jossie, awesome word count!
Well done, Jossie! :) As Darga said, it's even more impressive in the context of how difficult you found it to do much writing in between write-ins!
100,000 words! That's an amazing achievement, Jossie! Well done. :D

Wow. Congrats Jossie. That is awesome.
Thanks guys! I am so pleased that I managed to hit my goal (even despite this term being one of the worst, most stressful times in my entire teaching career! If I ever say yes to doing year level coordinating, someone shoot me!)
I have finished with reports and soon work will be over, so I want to get back into the routine of writing. I would really like to keep it up even when times get busy at work.
Today with the monthly write-in, I wrote a bit on a random piece. I feel like I need to read over my novel if I am to get back to it, since it's been so long.
Today's word count 1, 653 words
Yay! You're back into the swing of things!
It definitely sounds like a re-reading is in order - it should fire up your creativity nicely.
I think I need to do the same thing actually--but then I find I cringe at my earlier writing and find other distractions. May your reading be more fruitful.

It's awfully quiet here!
I have been away and had a week of settling back... and not written one word. I have high doubts of getting my goal, but I'm not going to let that defeat me. I have a study, with a desk and a printer! The first thing I printed out? The pages of my novel (though it's all over the place) so I an start rereading and brainstorming. I've yet to start doing that (though it's only been a couple of days).
Tonight I am going to try to start my 500 words per day goal (mini goals are the only way I can try to get back into it). So with 42 days left until the end of Feb I will try for 21,000 words in total this summer!
Might be short stories, might be another random scene for my novel.
Time to get back on track! Hope everyone else is going well.
Will update soon with my total.
EDIT: I may have not concentrated enough (a few hours of procrastinating) and I may have gone past midnight, but I'm still counting it. Today I managed 624 words! Huzzah for reaching my daily goal
Total summer count: 2,277 words
Best of luck!
I too have lacked in the word department, I better get a move on.
Well done, Jossie :). Nice to see some activity here. And you're making up for lack of writing with a ton of reading, Daniel, which is also important.

I missed yesterday. Procrastination is the worst.
Today I was better. I had a moment of dilemma: TV or writing. I fought through it though. From a writing prompt picture I did some brainstorming and from there managed to write 952 words - a kind of first chapter!
Summer word total: 3229 words
[sub]I also wrote a bit of non-fiction but not sure if I will count it but I'll put the word count here: 730 words
[/sub]
EDIT:
20/1 1123 words
21/1 1029 words
Updated Summer word total: 5281
So happy that this is going well. Making conscious decisions to make sure that write! Not sure if this new piece is going anywhere yet, but hopeful!
Aaah, that's great, Jossie. It's nice to see someone is getting stuff done.

Thanks :)
22/1: no words
23/1: no words
24/1: 2437 words (huzzah for write-ins!)
25/1: no words
26/1: no words
27/1: 928 words
Summer writing total: 8747 words
I haven't been doing too well with the writing daily thing, but will try again. Will do another session after watching this episode (argh the dilemma of choosing between writing, reading or watching TV... all my favourite things!).
Well, still another month left and another meet coming up this weekend :D

28/1: 626 words -adding words to a chapter I wasn't happy with
28/1-31/1: 0 words
1/2: 2877 words - one massive chapter and another short one! Write ins are the best thing ever. (I even managed to do a little research using the State Library!).
Total Summer Word Count: 12,250 words
I'm over half way there!
I think if I make myself do an hour writing straight after work, before gym, I can manage it!
Congratulations, Jossie :). Your persistence is impressive. Good luck!
This week has killed me. I didn't write because I was so tired! Tomorrow is the last day for OberNoWriSu so I am aiming for a writing session to finish those last few thousands!
After spending hours going through random scenes, and sequencing and working on a bit of a timeline... I managed to also insert some writing while I was fixing and changing things... and I don't know if it's entirely accurate but Scrivener tells me I have written 3,970 words... meaning I have reached 21,641 words! Huzzah!
I also feel satisfied because I've finally done that rereading and rearranging I've been meaning to do for ages. I'm up to Chapter 7 currently of rereading and adding bits and pieces and fixing things. Will be on track soon. I'm looking forward to continuing this story (it's the Yearnings one I was working on last year).
