I am camping with my family and a bunch of random people out in the bush somewhere. It is night and I'm sitting at a picknic table while some of the others cook on a BBQ. There is a random dog belonging to one of the others wandering around, it seems worried and keeps going up to people and trying to get their attentention but they ignore it.
I look up and see a bright orange glow in the clouds and bush behind the BBQ. I scream "Bushfire!" and suddenly we can see the flames. I grab my backpack from the seat beside me and we all run into the bush away from the fire.
At one point the fire is getting very close so I drop everything except my favorite stuffed toy dog and (for some strange reason) my sunhat so I can run faster. Almost as soon as I do that the fire is further away again so Dad who was running behind me picks my bag up for me again.
Soon after, we run along a stone road into a small town. We stop and watch the fire further back along the road, knowing that we are safe despite the tree beside us bursting into charcoal and sheets of flame blowing across the stone ground.
