So, I've had a bit of a look around and I haven't seen any other threads dedicated to this amazing series, so I decided I'd better start one. (Feel free to delete if there already is one).
I know there are whole sites dedicated to the series, but nobody knows me there, or seems to want to know me...
I just finished the last book in the series, A Memory of Light, which I think is the best book in the series, so if you haven't got around to reading it yet, I suggest you do.
Now I don't won't to ruin the book for anyone who hasn't read it yet, so:
I'd just like to say that I cried for pretty much the last 150 pages, Egwene's death shattered me... She was my favourite character for most of the series (except when she was being a pig headed idiot).
When reading the epilogue, did anyone else guess that Rand and Moridin switched bodies before we were actually told? I knew there was a reason Min, Avindha and Elayne weren't upset in the slightest (they must really suck at acting).
I kind of wish that either Rand, Mat, or Perrin would have died. I was discussing this with a friend before the book came out, and we decided that one of them needed to die, to end the series properly. I know Rand's body died, but that doesn't count because he swapped.
But all in all, I think the book had a really good ending, and I was really happy with the ending, unlike a lot of series I have read. There wasn't anything that I felt was not wrapped up in the story that I hoped for before reading it. Although I do wish that another Aes Sedai had figured out the anti-balefire weave after Egwene died, seeing as Egwene couldn't exactly teach them.
Now I wish that there was another book coming, or like an off the side book (is Brandon Sanderson allowed to write one though?), as I really want to know what happens to the Aiel (the future that Avindha saw), and what Rand does, and all sorts of things like that.
(I really hope that all of that made sense...)
Oh, and for anyone that has a question for Brandon Sanderson after you read the book, just tell me, as I have a friend who knows him :P
What theme is it in? and how many books are in the series?I don't wanna read the spoilers cuz I might be like aw no surprise so what is the summary on the back of the book? I've been looking for a good series to read lately and you seemed pretty excited about this one so I thought why not! (yay title bearer as first commenter ;D alright!)

Cloud, Memory of Light is number 14, and the books average between 600-800 pages, with some pushing 1,000 (and it's small-ish text, too).
It's high/epic fantasy. Mix of male and female main characters.
I think the best summation is that it's a modern Tolkien?
The general premise is that a young boy/man and his companions have to undertake an epic journey to stop the end of the world from happening. Boy and companions are eventually all split off into their own adventures, and their stories weave in and out of each others.
There is great world building in these books, with some use of ficticious languages, but nothing too onerous.
Jelli, dying though I am to have someone to talk about this series with, I'm waiting for my brother-in-law to finish the book, so I can read his copy (I can't buy it until it is in the smaller size, so that it matches all the others that I have).
I want to re-read the whole lot before I tackle the last book, as I didn't do so before I read book 13, and spent the whole time trying to remember who was who and what side they were on!
I'm holding off, too. I have so little time to read these days, though, that I started my reread at book 11 - then I get one RJ before easing back into Brandon. I don't mind BS, but I need a bit of pure Jordan first. I had actually read the whole series before Book 13. That was the year before I started uni again - plenty of time to read when all you're doing is a full time job :P.
Anyway, hopefully I'll get up to AMoL in the next couple of months (although it'll more likely be the June break, I suspect!)
I'm only up to the third book. I'm slogging through them slowly though. Also hopefully by that point the final book will be availablein the smaller size because I have the same issue with books as yourself, BB.
Started my reread last week, and I'm almost finished The Eye Of The World.
Got to say that there's lots I missed while I was reading it the first time, so much stuff happens that you don't see!
I noticed a bit of foreshadowing (RJ seems really good at that)
Spoiler are not for AMOL, just later than like book 2 or 3 I think.
When Moiraine is telling Egwene about Aes Sedai, she says that Egwene is very powerful and could well end up being the Amyrlin one day...
When the trollocs are chasing them just before they reach Shadar Logoth, Mat is pulled from his horse by a noose, which could foreshadow him being hung in the Aiel Waste.
And this one isn't foreshadowing, I just didn't notice it the first time: the way that Lan and Nynaeve act around eachother is just kinda flirty and trying to impress eachother (Nynaeve keeps blushing), which is an attraction between the two I didn't see the first time.
I bought Books 1-7!! I was so tempted to buy the whole 14 volumes but thought better not. I still haven't finish A Song of Ice and Fire and the Leviathan Trilogy. I'll buy it later once I've finished reading these and started on Book 1!
I bought books 1-9 all at once when I was only on like the 3rd book because they were so good (found them on trademe for cheap-ish).
I've read the Leviathan trilogy also, so hopefully you'll enjoy the Wheel of Time series too :)
