This is completely off topic, but thank you Alysa you are awesome for actually using someone artwork and acknowledging them and linking to them.
Anyway, to get things back on topic, I'm out of books so I've been rereading old ones again. Accordingly, I just finished Serphina by Ratchel Hartman because I adore her dragons. They are fun creatures, and now I really want the second book to hurry up and be released again (though I do worry that there will be love triangle stuff in it [act]sigh[/act]).

I've just started reading Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder. My brother gave it to me for my birthday and/or Christmas last year. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the pace of the story makes it easy reading. Giving my brother points for a) buying me a book and b) having good taste for someone who doesn't read :P

I recently read Touch of Power too. I quite liked it, and I'm planning to read the sequel, Scent of Magic. I am also reading Maria V. Snyder's other books, including Poison Study, Storm Glass, and Inside Out, which I particularly enjoyed.

I love MVSs earlier books, the Study ones, the Glass ones and Inside/Outside but Touch of Power was a bit bland, and sequel was a great disappointment to me. You'll have to tell me what you think.

I finally picked up Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. I read it in a day, so am now back to 'pick a book' territory. I have to admit I prefer the Miyazaki take more than the book, but there is always going to be more character development and plot expansion in a book, and I am very glad I picked it up for those reasons.
