  The Firefly stars and all-round mega awesome guys have an indiegogo campaign running at the moment to raise money to fund a show Alan Tudyk's written called "Con Man" - about:
  Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk-Me!) was a co-star on Spectrum, a sci-fi series which was canceled -Too Soon- yet became a cult classic. Wray’s good friend, Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred in the series and has gone on to become a major movie star. While Jack enjoys the life of an A-lister, Wray tours the sci-fi circuit as a guest of conventions, comic book stores, and lots of pop culture events. The show will feature all the weird and crazy things that happen to Wray along the way to these events.
  
  The campaign video is not to be missed - hilarious - and if you can't support it, consider sharing it on the various social medias and spread the word.

  (sidenote watched the first half of Firefly the other day for the first time, really nice, I can see why everyone goes on about it!)

  Certainly has! Over $1.8 million now! I guess the more they get now, the more we sort of stick it to Fox that this is the sort of content we want.

  I just loooooove all the videos they keep posting, and all the little references to Firefly. I'm really hoping that we get a surprise appearance by Joss Whedon as the now-reclusive Dutch creator of Spectrum!

  LOL oh, they had better do a season 2. Poor Wray needs to come to love what Spectrum has brought him, or at least resolve his resentment of it (like a movie will help :-/ ).
  The Spectrum cast were all nuts, and I loved the running gag that Nathan Fillion phoned the whole thing in.

  Finished watching it, and quite enjoyed it. Definitely think a second season is in order!
