We're already partway through June, so it's time to move on in our great
*Obernewtyn Chronicles Reread to
The Farseekers. This thread is here for you to discuss your thoughts as you reread the book, as well all prepare for the launch of the final book,
The Red Queen.
So what are your thoughts? Is it how you remembered? What details did you forget about? What can you remember thinking the first time you read the book, and how has it changed?

Personally, I'm yet to start the re-read, [act]shakes fist at university[/act], but thinking about the reread, makes me think of how I came to read the series. Back in year 7, my bestfriend had started to read the series, on the advice of our lovely school librarian. And then that meant I started reading it. I went ahead and borrowed the entire series from the library, and did so over the school holidays, despite the fact it was the summer school holidays, AND I wasn't even going to be at that school any more the following year (having a good relationship with the librarian certainly has it's privileges). So I ended up reading The Stone Key (which was just out around that time) before my friend did. I think that The Farseekers, is not quite when things heat up, that's more Ashling I think. But so much starts to happen, and of course, the end is when the whole point of the series, and Elspeth's quest really begin. And I think reading that for the first time probably settled it for me, that I really wanted to read the rest of the series and find out where this was going.
