I've been talking to my best friend who would/will be coming with me, the one I introduced to the series (practically hung our friendship on the line re. whether she would like it or not 😂 but I seriously feel like I wouldn't have known who she was if she didn't love it like I do) and we are in spasms of delighted excitement over all this.
We don't even have any expectations. Just the concept of having the series complete and seeing IC talk in person about it 😃 is enough.
Still possible to get our names on the list? Or too late?
Too late for this list, but there'll be more opportunities in the future.
Do we have any more information/confirmation yet? Flights get more expensive the closer you get to departure date.
I'd also like to know whether we have a confirmed venue. I can come if I can get cheap flights, but won't be able to if I need to spend several hundred dollars on a full fare due to short notice period.

Marugill read my mind! Just came on here to see if any news has been updated. I'll be driving down from Sydney with Kaylan and my husband but if we can get an idea of ticket prices and things like that, it'll help with budgeting how much we're needing to spend/save up. =) Still super keen!
EDIT: I'm booking hotel nights now - if I wait any longer it'll be triple the price then when I checked about a month ago. =( I really hope that the date remains the same!

Got my ticket! Yay! I actually have a university ball coming up, but this is so much more exciting.
I am super excited for this, but also slightly sad because I just read on the site that we can only have a ticket to either the afternoon or the evening events... I had been expecting/hoping to go to both and now I'm not sure which one to choose 😕
If it helps, the majority (possibly even the vast majority) of people on this forum are planning to go to the ball.
Both events are going to be almost exactly the same thing, I'm told. The differences will be that the High Tea has hot drinks and cupcakes, and the Masked Ball has fement and nibbles. There'll be a speech/Q&A at the High Tea, but a launch speech at the Ball. Other than that - exactly the same event. The only reason there's two is because she can only have 500 people in the venue at any one time.
It makes perfect sense, and I do understand... And yes, articfirefox, that does help a lot! 😀 I would like to hear the Q&A and everything cos I'm an addict, but I did choose the masked ball too...
Speaking of, I wear glasses. I have a friend in Melbourne who does spectacular body art though - do you guys think a painted on mask will be okay? It will probably look amazing, if that helps lol?

There's always disposable make up remover cloths I suppose... definitely glad we have a bit of time to think it over though!
