This thread has been set up for those who attended the Red Queen Launch (either the High Tea or the Masked Ball) on December 12th 2015, to record their memories, while they're fresh in our minds, so that we remember the event in years to come, and to share the moment with members who couldn't attend.
So - what was your favourite part? What were you most excited about? Did you meet any interesting people or do you have any funny stories to share?
I don't even know where to begin with sharing my memories of that day/night...it was all so much fun, I can't pick a single moment...

It was fantastic to meet Shannon, who set Obernet up originally back in 1999. That was a definite high point.
I don't think I'll ever forget lining up with all the Obernetters in a booth and yelling "i am a misfit" for the big group photo!
Loved catching up with everybody - some of you who I've not seen for what must be close to 10 years.
Still can't believe that in the excitement I didn't manage to hear a single speech. What did I miss?
I missed the group photo :(
I really liked the scavenger hunt and also the lemons and plums. With the plums I was laughing trying not to tell my friend about them as she hadn't read the book yet.
I too enjoyed the scavenger hunt. And the group photo was excellent - I am a Misfit!
Ooh thanks for posting those videos Iszy, didn't really get a chance to listen to speeches on the night... whoops.

My favourite part was just about everything. I loved all the costumes and had great fun trying to tell fortunes. It was amazing to meet so many Obernetters I hadn't met before and catch up with old friends. Loved seeing everyone wearing my tattoo. :)
Overhearing about 100 people going 'omg that's creepy' was pretty cool :P

Salamander was truly creepy. And the best costume IMO.

I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt as well, and seeing everybody again (and many for the first time) was great! The fact that the OberChrons are now complete makes me sad to realise that this may have been the last of the big meets that I could irrationally justify travelling so far for (and embracing poordom for). Celebration for the Darkbane release?!?
I also enjoyed jokingly having my fortune done. Even though I know it was a joke, it has nonetheless motivated me to take some action! Thanks Deb and Frankie! :P
I think that's just the start of them and he's working through the rest, so don't stress if yours is not up there yet!
Yeah, there is no way he only took 400 photos. Guy was there snapping pics all night.
Oh yeah, Salamander was excellent, and creepy. I also just figured out that the person with the blindfold and blooded face from 'poked out eyes' was probably a shadow... Maybe. I feel a bit dense, and this after completing an entire reread.
Still working on a write-up of the night so I don't forget everything. :D
