Miska - Ahhhh! I had a hunch that Wind wasn't gone for good. I just seemed so strange that he kept popping up in Glynn's memories, even though she had been trying to push them aside before comming to Keltor. I guess I'll have to keep reading to get the full story, but it definately makes more sence now.

Definately measued up! I finished Darkfall this morning, and have just started Darksong. Go me! But I think you were right in saying that the characters aren't as good as the ober characters. I dunno why, but the ober characters always seem to have more depth to them. I got the sense that some of the characters in Darkfall were just filler, or very convenient characters to have around. But that said, the story is fantastic, and I'm totally loving it! ;D

Hehe, I haven't got any theories yet. I think I'll wait till I've finished Darksong, cos otherwise I'll end up saying stuff that gets worked out during Darksong and make a fool of myself. :-/

Yes - Lev. He was deffinately brought in for a reason........hmmmm, does he pop up in Darksong anywhere?
And I have a hunch that Solen could be the Shadowman. No real proof, but he was on his way to Ramidan with Glynn, and we know that Alene contacted the shadowman for help with Bleyd, and Glynn and Solen turned up just as Ember was leaving with Blyed. But Ember was ahead of schedual, so could Solen have been comming to Ramidan to help Alene resuce Bleyd? It's a long shot, but meh, it's an idea.

hmmm solen is too obvious in my thoughts. its so not like IC...but yea he looks the most possible. lev - yes he is 'up' to something....id like to hear your theory tas! :) the only thing is its great rumor that the shadowman in fomahkian(sp?) but not that i believe they would be since that's what everyone seems to believe. i still think its tarsin though...
Tarsin's definately a strange one. And what was with the vision that Ember had of Kalide on the throne, and him being mad too? Does that mean that Coralyn is somehow responcable for Tarsin's maddness? But why would Ember see Kalide going mad too? I just don't get it.

i think either lev or soonkar couldbe the shadowman, although if solen was it would have been highly romantic (he's gorgeous enough as it is) and silghtly predictable.
lev seems to be so incredibly nice to both glynna and hella, so trusting... ??? and he saw hella off vespi, he could...um...maybe have been to ramidan before, or was headed to ramidan, but hang on, my sense of time is quite dead.
and soonkar, wouldnt it have been lovely if he was the shadowman. i dont have much to support this theory but a hunch.
my theory about about wind is that he could have tried suicide but insted, with the longing to leave, the water and moon light managed to be transported to keltor. but then that wouldnt have explained his communicatios with the watcher/ronaal/lanalor thing. oh, hang on *light turns on* in some yet-unexplained way he manages to be caught in the middle of the two worlds...in CHAOS!!!

Ooooh, yeah, each of the islands sound like something else. Myrmidons were a race of fighting people who were allied to the Greeks around the time of the Trojan war thingo.
Vespi sounds like vespers which is one of seven prayers mainly for Christian monks, that takes place in the evening/night, with medieval origins.
Ramidan sounds like ramadan which is an islamic fasting festval, although on closer inspection it does not seem much like the island from the ledgendsong. Acantha sounds like acanthus, a prickly leaved plant (it could be like sether...) used to decorate Corinthian columns (whatever they are).
i dont know about the others, but Iridom sounds a bit like iridescent, which isnt all that weird, and argon's name reminds me of the argonauts...

well how old do u think they are? bleyd? donard? anyi? and for that matter solen? but meh u can have bleyd, i want donard...so u no tas u can have all the rest...or we could make a compromise! ;) but donard...id chose him over solen or rushton anyday...and i think thats sayin somethin :P

ooo i was reading last nite and i cant remember which book it was in (finished darkfall and started darcksong) but ronnall says there is alot wieghted/dependent on ember. (so i think its when he interferes on the cell journey to rescue bleyd) but he also says that the freein of his soul comes with the freein of the first made. ie his soul was the bargain - if firstmade is free he gets it back, if not then it gets consumed by the chaos spirit. now that shout soulsaver and unraveller are the same person -even the same/one task. so what if glynn (considering she isnt the unraveller and therefore not the soulsaver) has a task that doesnt involve anythin thats been mentioned. but say saving/rekindling the song in her world?!? cos if one world falls the other will too no matter if the unraveller/soulsaver is saved. does that make sence??

my thoughts:
glynn is the soulsaver, more important than ember because it sys how ironic that the weaker twin was shielding the stronger one
ember is the unraveller, but since it refers to the unraveller and soulsaver i think they could b seprate people.
at the end of the series ember with be with bleyd and rule fomhika and glynn and solen will rule acantha, coz u know that what nema (? sorry havent read darkfall in a while) said she visioned.

I am also doubting that tarisn is the shadowman because if he was he wouldnt have allowed there to be evidence that bleyd was still in the citadel, unless hes a lot smarter than what he looks and figures that by allowing this to happen means he could let him escape because if he really was the shadowman he would know bleyd was innocent but it would be difficult to go up against his mum anyway but at least he knows justice is served by allowing bleyds escape and that he has been pretending this whole time.
the problem with this is that he continued to keep ember on the island despite the fact that he would have known she was dying.
what makes people think ember wont survive? thats really sad :(
