Im excited!
I just found out today that Ms Pierce is planning to write a book (or books im not sure) on the Early years of Numiar Salamin aka Arram Draper that show hopw he came to be in tortarall.
Ok so im sure other people already know this but for someone who is usually oblivious until she sees the books in the shop im quite amazed at myself for finding out

OOh I didn't know about that!
The immortals series has been out of print for so long in the UK that I've never actually been able to read them. I'm intending to track them down on ebay this summer.
yeh the immortals books are hard to find! i've managed to read them through the library but haven't ever seen them being sold in the bookshops! I wonder why the immortals set never get re-published but the others do... o_O
anyway thanks for that info! something to look forward to in the bookshops...although i think the alanna books will forever be my favourites ;D

my library used to have books 2 & 4 of the immortals... :| Then they got rid of book 2...
Oh and they had books 1 & 3 of the Lioness quartet.
stupid, annoying libraries that don't have entire series of books! what do they expect you to do??!!! :| thats really unfortunate maz!

I originally had the same problem with the Immortals quartet, where my library only had a couple of them. I was lucky enough to be able to find the others, though, and eventually managed to buy them all. Good luck with getting hold of them, Maz. :) I love the Immortals quartet - in fact, I think it might be my favourite TP series, although I also really like the Trickster and Alanna books. ;D
yeh im with jossie- i never got into the circle series, just the tortall books....i've read the first beka cooper book which was alright i guess, but i preferred her other tortall books a lot more...
Yay more Beka Cooper books!! Does anyone know if she's writing more Trickster books?

Not that I know of. That series was definitely just the two books, but we'll probably see Ali turn up somewhere :)
Woo Numair's book! That'd be awesome!
Yep, definitely prefer the Tortall books. I own the SotL quartet, B1 the Immortals, B3 and 4 the PotS, the Trickster books, Beka Cooper and a few Circle books so you could say I'm a fan of Tamora ;) As you can probably tell, my favourite series is the SotL - all time favourite, have read them at least once a year for the past 10 years lol.
I am interested to read the book about what really went on in Yanjing with Briar and all.. all the allusions to it in Will of the Empress hinted at a very strong story line.
Bring on more books, Tamora, is all I can say :D

i have 1-4 of SotL and PotS, books 1-2 of Trickster, I've read all 4 original circle books and I'm currently bidding on a complete set of the Immortals on eBay... not likely to win them sadly.
I prefer Tortall too. I used to actually own the Circle books but I got rid of them a few years ago in a particularly brutal book clearout.
OK, I went looking for sotL books, having read so much about them here, and I found a place that actually had them (I keep reading that they're hard to find) - upon closer inspection - they had 2,3&4 - but not the first.
grrrrr - having been thwarted - i really want to read them now!
i need to go back to my mum's to check out what books i do have written by TP... where are people managing to find them... should have bought them when they were still around! do stores ship them in for you still?
otherwise try internet? arghh how annoying

If I ever find any in the second hand bookstores (I always check in case of finding the immortals) I'll pick them up and send them over to anyone who wants them. I once found a full set of SotL but I already had them so left them...

I've read and I own both series of the circle books, the trickster books and SotL. I've read Beka Cooper too. I've tried to find the Immortals but the only place I've ever seen them is ebay and I keep getting outbidded :( Btw if anyone wants it, I have a spare copy of the second book in the Song of the Lioness quartet that I've been trying to get rid of :D The circle books are my favourite but SotL is a very very close second.

on that, i think i may have a spare copy of the first alanna book (well i know i had another one at some point), so if i manage to find it, i'll bring it to the meet for you PD :D
I've never had trouble finding any of Tamora's books :-| my local Angus and Robertson always has them or if not, can order them in pretty quick.
I think i'm going to end up hating all you Tamora Pierce advocates. I'm supposed to be ona book buying ban at the moment - but I bought the first SOTL book today, and I suspect i'll own all of them by the end of the week....
If only i had some self control!
Mwahahha |:| Don't worry, i have the same problem, hence the reason i barely left the stairs so i wouldn't be too tempted :P
You wont regret it though, they're very enjoyable, for all ages - and yes, addictive lol ;P
Very addictive. I have so many books on my shelf that I haven't actually read and normally I'll have a TP book right next to my bed... I try to read the other then give up and open one of Tamora's. :->
grrrrr - i'm on a book buying ban - and i've bought 2 books this week alread - it's only monday! I bought Ãn the hand of the goddess' today.
