And it is the only good Australian movie I have ever seen.
Have yet to see "Tomorrow When The War Began", but I do think it's really quite sad if it's really the only good Australian movie you have ever seen.

Why did I instantyl think of Strictly Ballroom? ~:| Lud I love that movie...
I'm really hoping to be able to see this movie this week.
I re-read the books just last year, but I had thought to re-read them again this year...I think I might wait until after I've seen the movie though - I hate being disapointed by bad adaptions, so if the book isn't too fresh in my mind, I should be able to enjoy the movie better - as a movie.

“What we’re trying to create is a franchise, with a potential for three films and a television series. It's rather like when "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact" (both movies about giant asteroids colliding with earth) came out within a year of each other, I found that coincidence interesting as well - though both movies turned out to be crap, in my opinion. ::)

I was particularly amused to note that the enemy soldiers in both "Red Dawn" and "Tomorrow When The War Began" seem to have gone to the Star Wars Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy and generally can't shoot worth a damn.

And like Cat said, when you're invading somewhere, you'd focus on the cities first and then the smaller country towns, so all the youngun's and new recruits got sent to Wirrawee :P
