[sup]Anyhow, it's been over a year.[/sup]
In which I cry and moan, "What is wrong with the eye on the right and why can't I fix it?"
I've been kind of experimenting with the Autodesk Sketchbook app. I bought it a while ago and I really like it so far - especially because my phone has a pressure sensitive pen. It has much smoother use and, of course, many more options compared to the free app, which never really grew on me. The only problem I've encountered with it is that after using it for extended amounts of time, it stops working - not really a hassle since you can still save the file and just re-open it.
My recommendations are high.
That said, I am a little peeved over the fact that the colours on my phone screen are different to the computer screen. Even with the dullest screen setting, images are still brighter, more saturated and just a bit warmer, I guess. It looks nice but it's a little annoying when I move files between it and my computer. For example, when I transferred the psd of the sketch above, the light mint green of the sketch turned into a cyan-azure-ish hue, and the rest of the colours were similarly washed out. I ended up changing them all individually.
There are various problems with that, including how it displays on
other people's screens, but it's not like I can do much about that.
Oh well.
