Started Fairy Tail, continued on a bit with HunterxHunter, read up to the latest chapter of Kurogane (the one about kendo, not the numerous other ones) and just finished the latest chapter of Seiyuu-ka! which is always pretty cool. A guy in my year reads a lot of shounen manga, and sometimes comments about them to me but I haven't really read any of the ones that he reads (mostly the really popular shounen manga like One Piece and Bleach and such) -_- Though he did say that Fairy Tale is his favourite after he saw me reading it, commented that the fighting scenes were great and that Lucy was absolutely useless.
Also, I am happy to find the the
Kagerou Days manga is finally up! The
Kagerou project is basically a series of (Vocaloid, both Miku and IA) songs by Shizen no Teki-P (also known as Jin) in an album, Children Records. They tell the story of a whole bunch of characters in a group called the Mekakushi Dan set in modern day Japan. Mekakushi means 'blindfold' and most of them have powers related to sight and perception.
I love all of the songs on the album, but
Kagerou Days,
Headphone Actor,
Konoha's State of the World,
Children Record and the slightly slower
Shinigami Records are ones that will give you a taste of it (well, I'd reccomend all of them, but I can't just link the whole album here).
[EDIT] Or you can just listen to the
album crossfade. Saves time, no?
What does this all have to do with it? Well, part of the Kagerou Project is also a light novel, which I dearly wish to be translated into English. An anime of the project is in the works as well. And the manga, well, the manga is just amazing - what's out of it anyway. YOU MUST CHECK IT OUT if you have time.
