So I'm back to school which kind of marks the end of my writing - though I might continue to try up until the actual end of OberNoWriSu.
I have ended with 4490 words, which isn't too bad - not fabulous after looking at my silly thoughts on what I could have attempted.
Nearly 4,500 words is a great achievement, Jossie! Well done!
4,500 is better than no words, Jossie. So a definite congrats.
OberNoWriMo time frame: 54 days starting from Dec 1st until Jan 24th (early end date due to end of my holidays)
Word goal: 50,000 words. Approximately 1000-2000 daily
Novels to be worked on: mostly my 'Yearnings' novel, and maybe a bit of the joint one (depending on if I am struck by inspiration)
Day 1 is today, and I've been a bit busy, but that's no excuse, will start after dinner!
Good luck :D (and better tuck into that dinner too :D)
Good luck, Jossie. Looking forward to snippets.
Good luck with it, Jossie!

Day 1: 1007 words
It was a bit of stop start writing session tonight as Dec 1 kinda came too suddenly at me. I've been writing reports, and haven't had the time to work on an outline. But after over an hour of writing, finally I managed some okay words that I'm kinda satisfied with!
Have to think about what will happen next!
You met your daily goal though so CONGRATS regardless.
Nice work! It's a good start to your OberNoWriSu when you're prepared and sit down to write when you only have limited time available.

Day 2: 1550 words! I sat for a while wondering where to go, if I should make this sequential, but then thought, 'it's about the writing, the quantity. SO JUST WRITE.' And I finally did! Huzzah!
Total: 2557 words
Definitely on a roll. Hope you can keep it up, Jossie ^_^

Day 3: 1636 words
Total so far: 4193 words
Progressing nicely, though not sure how successful I will be tomorrow if I'm out after work. I will try to write before going to dinner tomorrow.
Here is a random snippet (it will be rather random): (see Prodders)
You have an impressive dedication to your OberNo goal going there, Jossie! I belive I shall salute it.

I'm liking the dynamic between these two characters, especially in the last two lines of dialogue.
Yes, I agree. I forsee much bickering in the future for them.

Day 1: 1007 words
Day 2: 1550 words
Day 3: 1636 words
Day 4: 1513 words
Total 5706 words
Hurrah for actual writing and actual words. I managed to write despite having plans tonight. Not sure how I will fare with the weekend approaching, but I will just try to double the words if I miss a day - WHICH I WON'T OF COURSE!
Snippet! (see prodders)
Well if Aiden was the guy in the previous snippet . . . methinks there may be more than bickering ahead if he's willing to sacrifice unfortunate Kalea's.
Great work on your word count by the way, been keeping up a steady rhythm.
Excellent work, Jossie. Loving the progress.

Ooh, that's quite the ultimatum!
Fantastic work on keeping up your word count, Jossie. I think I need to raid the Ashlings' Wing for some virtual cheesecake as a reward for you.
Thank you for all the encouragement. It really does help to post my progress, and your replies also continue to motivate me.
I am trying explore this relationship between Aidan and Kalea. I just need to think more about where the whole story is going to go. Can't just be about them. My aim is for them to NOT be romantically involved. Originally, I did want that to happen, but it's too cliche. I am all too knowledgeable about unrequited love, so I intend to explore that a little. However, there is a bigger picture story going on here besides their travels! Just have to get to it, and think a bit more about it!
I am continuing to make good steady progress, and I am loving it. Now if only I could work out how to use Darga's word-tracking excel document on a Mac, then perhaps I could also use that to motivate me!
Day 1: 1007 words
Day 2: 1550 words
Day 3: 1636 words
Day 4: 1513 words
Day 5: 1208 words
Total: 6914 words
I wonder if I could get to 10,000 words by the end of Day 7? That would be awesome!

Awesome Jossie, send me some of your motivation...please
I have Office installed on my Mac, but if you don't and get yourself a SkyDrive account, Jossie, you should be able to just upload a copy of my Excel document and play with it using their online Excel thing. No need to have it locally installed on your computer.
I do have office but it's hard to work out where the tool bar is to look at formulas. I'll give it a go on my PC perhaps. Thanks, Darga. I really appreciate it!
Deb, I am mentally trying to send you motivation!
Send me some motivation too, Jossie.
And seriously, great work. You're wiping the floor with us all.
