I just finished reading The Midnight Dress by Karen Foxlee, which was a terrible, horribly cruel, was-that-last-page-really-necessay? kind of book!! ie. I highly reccommend it.

Reading Ship of Destiny by Robin Hobb. Too addicted to this book right now >.< I have a 6 month report to write up, but I'm getting distracted by this book!! It's so good.
i read big girl panties by stephanie evanovich, mostly because i was like 'is she related to janet evanovich?' (goodreads says yes, she is.) it was fairly awful but there was lots to giggle at and with, just what i needed after a rough day :D
also, neil gaiman's make good art speech which i really enjoyed, despite not really have read any of his books (have started some, but not finished them), the layout was different (for example some of the text was written backwards) but it added to the reading experience.
and finally, just finished cracked by k.m. walton. which i couldn't put down.
I'm now working on the Bright Young Things trilogy by Anna Godbersen. On book 2 at the moment.
Just finished Blink Once by Cylin Busby...
and now i'm out of library books to read. weird.
I've been reading my beloved Seanan McGuire, namely Discount Armageddon and Midnight Blue-Light Special, but I've finished those now so I'm trying to make progress on the Magicians and Mrs Quent by Galen Beckett.

I'm reading 'A Storm Of Swords' by George R.R. Martin. I'm kind of sad because I know this is the book where everyone dies!! :( I am a little confused as to why Robb has a different wife in the series, but whatever, I guess it suited the TV show better. It's still so good!!!
after reading the bunker diaries by kevin brooks (the diary of a sixteen year old boy who is kidnapped and locked in a bunker with five other people) i retreated back to the comfort of roald dahl (the giraffe, the pelly & me and the enormous crocodile) and since there is new tamora pierce book coming out soon, decided that it was high time to reread the circle opens quartet (finished the magic in the weaving/sandry's book and am now reading the power in the storm/tris's book)
any percy jackson fans? has anyone watched the new movie? sea of monsters?
I haven't finished a proper book in a really long time! :( I am reading so many books at the moment:
- Game of Thrones - George RR Martin: I think watching the series makes reading the series tough as it follows the books quite close
- City of Bones - Clara Cassandra: I wanted to read this before the movie came out... it's come out and not in cinemas now, I am also about 1/3 of the way through and still not captivated or interested in it!
- The Happy Refugee - Anh Do: this one is non-fiction and an autobiography, and I don't often read this type of book, but it was recommended- so it's taking some time to get into and finish
- The Book Thief - Marcus Zusak: I have so many good reviews about this one, and since the movie is coming out soon, I am trying to finish it. I've finally got to a really good part too!
So out of the four above books, I am only really getting into The Book Thief, and I hope I can finish it before my holidays are over!
I just finished reading Untold by Sarah Rees Brennan which is the sequel to her book Unspoken. It was both amazing and wonderful and also devastating. You should all read them. (Unfortunately they are not printed/published in Australia because of low sales, but the Book Depository is wonderful and hopefully we can get enough buzz around her books so that her next series is published here. She is one of my favourite writers.)
I have finally finished The Book Thief - and I can't believe how long it too me to get around to it. It really a well-crafted and interesting subtly written book. It has been much too long of a time since a book has had me so unexpected invested into its characters, and that I can be crying and sobbing as I read. Brilliant book.
I am now starting Divergent which happens to be coming out as a movie next year or something. It is a vast difference to The Book Thief which I consider literary genius, while Divergent reminds me Hunger Games telling of a dystopian future where everyone is divided into factions based on characteristics.
About halfway through Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.
Wanted to have read it before the movie comes out.
Finished listening to the lovely David Mitchell's memoir (the comedian/actor not the author) titled Back Story and reread A Study in Scarlet (the first meeting of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - i was amazed by how much i'd forgotten and how different each onscreen portrayal of him is.
I'm reading 'A Feast For Crows' by George R R Martin. This novel has received the more negative reviews out of all of his books, however I am finding it interesting to learn about the other places in his world. I guess this novel introduces a whole lot of extra characters, since a lot of them were killed in the previous novel, and most people want to find out what's happening certain people and these new characters just get in the way, but I like knowing where Myrcella and Tommen were sent. I like learning about new places like Sunspear, and new people like Prince Dorran, because you can't just kill off a whole family without adding new characters. It was nice to have a chance of pace with the books, plus the extra information. I've read that many people don't think the book has much plot development, but there are some interesting revelations that will obviously play a big role in the ending of the series (such as the rise of religion and the new king of the Iron Islands). And even though I haven't finished reading this book, I know that if these things don't happen then the series will never end (which is what I'm sure everyone things GRRM wants haha). It's a transitional book more than anything else, that sets up the rest of the series. So I think people just need to calm down and realise that small things lead to big things. I'm really excited to get to A Dance With Dragons because I miss Daenerys!
How is Ender's Game, Sharni? I haven't read the book, but am seeing the movie Monday night.
I have finally finished Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb - it was slow for part of the book, but after I couldn't stop. I am so glad I pushed through. Amazing book. Does anyone know what I should read next? The Liveship trilogy or the Tawny Man trilogy first?
I'm trying not to finish Lockwood & Co: The Screaming Staircase by Jonathan Stroud because I am just enjoying it far too much. The characters are fantastic and the concept of the story is just fascinating. On the one hand, I'm delighted to know it's part of the series; on the other hand, I don't think I will deal well with waiting for the next book to come out. I want to read more right now!
I'm currently reading a book called Street Magic by Tamora Peirce, it's really good and the second in the series called The Circle Opens I recommend it a lot! I have also started Greylands, excited for the movie.
I've just read The Hunger Games, then Catching Fire (both in quick procession) and now I'm on to Mockingjay, just in time for the new movie! And then I'll finally get back to reading The Cuckoo's Calling! Oh how I love having free time for reading again!
I'm reading Cloudstreet for the first time with highschool. As a general rule I do not like Tim Winton's books, but I love Cloudstreet.
Oooh Cloudstreet, I read that as my first book on my blog (with reviews on clumps of 'chapters'). I quite enjoyed it, but his books are certainly different.
