Then I guess, my question still stands: how and why did Marisa Seraphim know the location of the weaponmachines?
Does that make her a tool of the Agyllians / someone assisting Elspeth in her quest?

Good question. Need to add that to the list for Isobelle
I just want the Seraphim's entire family history, if I'm perfectly honest. There are so many questions there.
Have you read the short story IC did for the compilation Legends of Australian Fantasy Sionainn? There is some good information there re. Hannah, Evander, Cassy, etc. :)
Min I seem to remember that Marisa had enough information/knowledge from before the Beforetime to have just worked it out? I feel like there's really more to that explanation but it has been awhile since I read Obernewtyn
What fascinates me is how / where did she get that info from? Did she find journals of Jacob's somewhere, or Hannah's, or did the Agyllian's give her the info (choosing her carefully so she wouldn't let the info spill to just anyone) so she could pass it on?
Yes, I have, and if anything it just left me more frustrated. There is a whole lot of stuff there that I don't think we'll really get full answers to until the Beforetime Chronicles are thing.
I like to think Marisa discovered a lot of the info on her own, rather than the idea of her just being an Agyllian pawn. I don't really have anything to found this on--I just prefer it as her character always struck me as being very strong and intelligent (and, you know, morally ambiguous). She discovered it because she was smart and dug around enough to discover the right things, and any Agyllian/Cassy plotting was plotted around and made use of her, rather than being plotted to ensure she did what she did.
Agree, Sionainn - I'd like to think Marisa discovered the information herself through research and logic, rather than just having the idea of it planted in her head.

It says in Obernewtyn page 181 that Marisa discovered where the weapons were, so I'm guessing that means she did the research herself.
I reckon that about a month before the book comes out we should have another thread where everybody commits unequivocally to a Destroyer choice. Winners get to lord it over everyone else forever. Personally I have believed it was Daffyd for years, but the last book made me more inclined to think it's going to be one of the fan favourites, Matthew or Dameon. I'll have to decide for sure after the reread.
I think the destroyer is Ariel who is related to one of these key figures we see from the past, and the Salamander is Jakovys deformed twin sister. Doubt it is Rushton.
Wow that would really suck if it's Matthew. I think the surprise she is talking about is that Elspeth is pregnant or something and that will affect the outcome of her journey.
Ok I just thought of the destroyer as non other than Dragon. 😱😱😱
I would think Ariel... Maruman said so....
Finally finished the last book 😢😢😢😢 can't wait for November. Destroyer theory
- Ariel, the obvious
-Dameon. Iv always noticed he hides all his feelings from Elspeth. When she was in Rushton looking at Dameon she saw hate in his eyes, towards Rushton. He also says he envys Rushton who can put others before his own desires. Too much mystery in him and he was a wealthy families son what is his backstory. I think he has the potential maybe not intentionally, to be the destroyer.
-Rushton just had to be sick when the birds said the destroyer was ill. And he had the power in him that we have never seen at full potential. His related to the right people so something could be planted in him that we Haven't seen yet.
-maryim in her state of a deep coma could also be the one with potential.
