I just noticed last night that they were playing Code Geass and Cowboy Bebop on ABC 2. I think they're on every Monday at 9:30pm and 11:30pm respectively.
Shame it's already 9 weeks into it or something. ~:|

They're playing Code Geass on TV??!! Serious?!! But it's still such a new anime. Wow. Cowboy Bebop I would expect to be played on TV. But yeah, too bad you found out 9 weeks later. Would have missed out on a lot already.
I reckon ALL of Studio Ghiblis Films are enjoyable. I enjoyed them ALL, apart from the lastest one, Tales From Earthsea. And yes, Howl's Moving Castle is my fav too. Watched it a few times. ^^
I have Clannad on my to-see list, but it'll probably take me ages to get to it, as I have so many other things to watch before it.
Recommendations? OH, you absolutely have to watch FULL METAL ALCHEMIST! I think that should have some fantasy element in it. It's definitely not set in our world. It's got great action (not mecha type action, more like hand to hand combat, and 'magic' type powers, or as it's known in the series, being able to perform alchemy) AND it's hilarious. But it's a 51 episode series.
As for movies... The Girl Who Can Leap Through Time is good, I really enjoyed that. Then there's also Millennium Actress, and Perfect Blue. Perfect Blue is suspense/thriller type. I recently watched Tekkon Kinkreet. Really weird and not particullary pretty or flatteringly drawn anime, but the storyline was interesting. A Tree of Palme is a good one too. Reminds me of like .. fairy tales. haha, kinda like Pinocchio.
edit: Actually, Tekkon Kinkreet is crazily drawn as the there is SO much detail in the background! Like the city they live in etc. Great music tho.
For some reason, I couldn't edit and add in that bit. It kept quoting and posting my whole entry again. Weird
OMG! IM OBSESSED WITH ANIME!
Has anyone watched FullMetal Alchemist!
Its really popular! So is Death Note and Bleach, and I love them ALL!

I've seen a bit of Death Note. It was good, but a bit slow-moving for me. And ever since I found out that a certain character was going to die, it was too depressing to watch it any more. :-{
I'm in the middle of watching Grave of the Fireflies (it's taking a while to load :P ). So far it is very, very good. Although it's really sad. :-{ I feel so sorry for the boy and his sister. :-/
Edit: OML, that was one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. :-{ And it's even more sad because things like that would have happened all the time after the war. It's not like a fantasy movie where you can take comfort in the knowledge that it's not real, because it is real. :"( lol, I even had to go into the bathroom and cry a little bit after watching it (I never cry when people can see me. Well... not unless I'm about to get an injection, anyway. :P :P ).
I thought it was a brilliant movie, but I don't think I'll watch it again. Too depressing. :P

I know what you mean Avialle. I bought it and watched it and completely cried my eyes out! Even though I bought it, I don't think I'll be able to watch it again either.
Has anyone seen School Rumble? I got the first season for my birthday and I got addicted to it. I didn't think I was going to because it was a bit slow moving at the start, but I was hooked! In fact, I might go and watch an episode now...
hAHa School Rumble is funny. I like watching the ending theme song, haha funny ~

It is funny! The most important thing is timing!
Anyone watching any really mind-blowing anime recently? So hard to find good animes that I can stick with these days.
Currently the animes that are managing to hold my interest are:
* Shingeki no Kyojin [Attack on Titan]
* Hunter X Hunter 2011 (of course. LoL. I loved the old one and this remake is EVEN better AND it's still continuing past where the old one left off!!)
* Suisei no Gargantia [Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet]
* Kakumeiki Valvrave [Valvrave the Liberator] (kinda like Gundam Seed)
* Chihayafuru 2
* One Piece (ongoing and still loving it. I'm a faithful follower :) )
