The Red Queen, the seventh and FINAL book in the almost 20 year old series has officially moved to a 2013 release date. You may have seen The Red Queen available from the US and UK very shortly. To clarify, this is not the final Book Seven in the series. In the US, The Sending is published as two separate books, Part 1 titled The Sending and Part 2 titled The Red Queen and due for release 30th April. If you have read The Sending Australian edition, then you have already read this book.

I was just reading that the final book is being relased next month and got so excited but now apparantly it isnt. I feel like i just got slapped in the face. I supppose we have to wait for Isobelle Carmody to come back from her seliga trip where she is learning the rest of the story.

I'm hoping that the Red Queen will finally finish it. Wonderful story, love the characters, but the stringing out of the ending is almost not worth the wait. I've been disappointed several times before, ordering the newest book straight from Australia and having it shipped to the US, thinking I was getting the final book, only to realize halfway through that there wasn't going to be an "end". I must say that while I understand her need to finish things to her satisfaction that over 20 years is a bit ridiculous.
