9th and 10th August - Abbotsleigh School Literary Festival
The Abbotsleigh Literary Festival develops the themes of reading, writing, creating and connecting. The festival enables students to engage with reading for leisure, enlightenment and enrichment. We welcome outstanding authors including Jackie French, Morris Gleitzman, Aaron Blabey and Isobelle Carmody. This year's festival also coincides with a special exhibition of Shaun Tan's work in the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery.

Bendigo Writers Festival turns five this year, and it's 400 years since Shakespeare died. So we are ready to celebrate the best things in life, from great writing to good company. We're welcoming a brilliant lineup of speakers who will light up View Street in the heart of Bendigo.
