For the past few years, we have been running one art competition and one writing competition per month. It's a lot of work to come up with these competition ideas, and to keep them organised. And we're finding quite often that while people like the idea of the competition, they aren't getting time to enter it during the one month that it's open.
[hr][/hr]And so we're reverting back to how competitions used to be run on Obernet in the old days; one or two big competitions that stay open for a longer period of time. This both cuts down organisation time for us, and increases entry time for members.
The two writing competitions we will be running until the 14th May 2011 are:
- A Certain Point of View, Round 3
- Specific Fanfic Comp, Round 3
The two art competitions we will be running until the 14th May 2011 are:
- Photos of the Worlds of IC, Round 2
- Ober Comics, Part 3
As you can see from the Round 2/3 status of the competitions, we've tried to pick the most popular ones that will appeal to the widest variety of members to ensure they're accessible to everyone, and also ensure we get plenty of entries!
Due to the proximity of these competitions closing dates to the End of Guild Comp, there'll be no extensions - and considering you now have at least 5 months to enter, their's really no excuse to start writing or drawing!
