This month's writing comp requires you to continue on the story from this snippet:

Michel frowned at Jessa's attempt to blow up the balloon. Clearly, her lungs did not yet possess the strength required to inflate the toy, which was a fact also noted by the young girl. With puppy dog eyes and balloon in mouth, she looked to her brother for help. Michel pretended not to see and buried his head back into his book. Jessa frowned and made wet blubbery noises as she tried to once again blow up the balloon.

Only able to ignore her for a moment, Michel resigned and made a point of setting aside his book and giving the girl a glare. He was greeted with a cheery smile and a dripping balloon in his face.

'Don't worry,' he muttered, 'You keep that one, I'll blow a new one.'

'Make sure it's a pink one!' Jessa cried gleefully, setting aside her saliva sodden balloon to try and scramble on her brother's knee. With a few easy breaths Michel was able to inflate the balloon to a reasonable size, tie off the end and held it up out of his sister's reach.

'Giveme, giveme, giveme!' she squealed playfully.

'Not until you promise this is the last one. I've already blown up 3 for you. Why do you need so many?' Jess ignored the question and continued to scramble for the balloon. Michel grinned and gently bounced the balloon in the air. He was met pouty look before his sister climbed down to catch it.

'Now can I please go back to reading my book?'

'But Cassy will be here any moment! And she said we could have a party!'

Michel sat up; he didn't know that Cassy was coming around today. 'Oh really,' he said, trying to keep his voice casual. 'And when is Miss Duprey set to come around?'

Jess gave her brother a sly look for all her age of 5. 'Oh any minute now. Are you two going to get all mushy kiss?'

Michel was about to protest a reply when a thought entered his head, Well, Michel are we going to get all mushy? Honestly, where does your sister get these ideas from, don't tell me she's developing Talent as well?

'Cassy!' Jessa cried and ran into the young woman's arms.
