[act]The Sea Dancer has quickly become a hive of activity as guests make their way onto the Main Deck. A shout of 'Land ho!' can be heard, and all eyes and people rush over to the edge of the ship in order to see the sliver of land on the horizon grow steadily bigger[/act]
Random Guest #1: Did someone say land?
Random Guest #2: You mean this ship
is actualy heading somewhere
Ari: You know, that land is really red looking...
Halina: Wow! You're like one of those psychics x_X
Ari: Shuddup :|
Tanya: So Gilbert, please tell us, was there any point to this cruise in the end?
Gilbert: [act]is offended[/act] Did you think I would lead you to no-where?
Everyone: [act]don't answer cause they all thought he would[/act]
Gilbert: [act]puffs out chest[/act] Well, for your information we are approaching Sador.
Tanya: Sador?
Ariadne: But why?
Min: Isn't Sador hot :(
Emerald: How do you know we are headed there? Are you sure it's Sador?
Gilbert: Yes, I used a map....[act]Turns Map right way up[/act] See we are right here [act]Points to a place on the map[/act]
Emerald: Ah actually [act]scratches away at Map[/act] I think that was a stain from lunch...
Gilbert: Huh, really [act]squints[/act] Who would have thought.
Rushton: So where have you been taking us all this time?!
Everyone: [act]facepalm[/act]
Min: Oh well - at least it's been a fun cruise. Right?
Tanya: Sure has :D and in the end, you know it doesn't matter where we were headed - as long as we get there ;D
MK: [act]wanders in[/act] :| Speak for yourself - I don't particularly want to be drifting aimlessly forever
Emerald: It's not forever -
MK: Right, just until we hit an iceberg, or fall of the edge of the world like a giant waterfall. [act]ponders[/act] Actually, that might be kinda cute...
Tanya: Ah MK, so nice of you to join us - have fun in the galley with your mystery date?
MK: [act]pouts[/act] Yes, I had a great time thank you. [act]grumbles about lousy internet connection in the middle of nowhere and thus interrupted plans[/act]
Oh, and btw, for all of people who were curious to know who I dragged onto this boat as a date... [act]rips off paper bag from date's head[/act]
Matthew: [act]gasping for air[/act] Huzzah! I can breathe again!
Everyone: :O Matthew?!
Matthew: [act]is taken back by the force of everyone's reactions[/act] Woah, not everyone at once -
Min: But Matty :D - I thought - we thought you were in the Red Queen's Land - how did you end up on the Jolly Piglet?
Matthew: Well, I was escaping and finding my way back to the land, in disguise might I add, when this crazy girl just boards and drags me onto another ship that is headed totally in the opposite direction to where I wanted to go!
Ari: So you pretty much ended up here with us at the right time. This couldn’t be any more convenient if it was scripted :D
Narrator: I believe it is scripted.
Tanya: You're back too...and with your name in tact.
MK: And I resent the implication that we prepare what we need to say, as if we aren't capable of holding a conversation without ... Ah Lud damnit - Line?
[act]sound of paper shuffling[/act]
Narrator: -having to resort to script.
MK: Exactly!
Min: Ah, the irony.
MK: [act]considers using Edit button[/act]
...............
.....................
[act]awkward silence ensues[/act]
Crickets: STILL ON STRIKE HERE! Find yourself another awkward pause filler!
Random Awkward Pause Filler: [act] Fills awkward Pause [/act]
.........................
.............
Emerald: Wow, that was awkward :-?
Ari: Look...a white moth!
Min: [act]watches it go by.. and then snaps back to attention[/act] Right - so did we establish where we are headed?
Tanya: You know - I think Ariadne had something when she said the land was red.
Ari: [act]not so discreetly pokes tongue out at Halina[/act]
Emerald: And didn't Matty say that the ship was heading into the opposite direction to where he was escaping from.
Ariadne: And where has Matty been all this time?
Min: Somewhere hot X:-/
MK: Oh Lud! Look at all the pieces falling into place! What a coincidence!
Narrator: [act]dryly[/act] Ah yes, what a coincidence...
Tanya: But wait! What about Moonfair?
Min: What about Moonfair indeed ;D
Narrator:
Ah yes, the MoOs feign surprise as it seems this cruise has coincided with the traditional timeline of events that lead up to Moonfair... was it a coincidence. My highly evolved plot device detections indicates otherwiseTanya: Ah dear, it's going to be such a shame not having you around anymore.
Ariadne: Well, it seems up we are coming up to the docks :D
Emerald: Wow! Everything looks so shiny!
MK: So Matthew, you were really trying to escape all this?
Matthew: I tell you what, it didn't look like this when I left.
Min: So do you think you'll be able to show us around?
Matthew: Well, if I cant escape this place, I might as well show you around.
[act]Everyone stumbles off the boat[/act]
..................
[act]Everyone looks at Gilbert[/act]
Gilbert: Hey. If you cant beat 'em, join 'em.
Ari: LAND!!
Min: [act]coming to a halt[/act] WOW! Is that....an Earthtemple??
Matthew: What? That?...No. That's the
Red Land Casino. Finest Casino in all the land.
Emerald: It's got to be the only Casino in all the land.
Tanya: But what's it doing here?
Matthew: What did you think we were doing way out here?
MK: Toiling day and night, doing hard labour, plotting to free the slaves...the usual.
Matthew: o_O
Min: Can we go in?
Matthew: Come right this way!
__________
The Mystery Cruise has come to an end...but dont fret, becasue the ship has brough us to the Land of the Red Queen, where a rather out of place Casino is the setting for
Moonfair 2009!
Many thanks to all who sailed along with us on this wonderful journey!
Special thanks must also go to the wonderful organisers Min, Tanya, MK and Emerald.
