Well, it wouldn't be OberNoWriSu without a whole lot of procrastination.

*Prods* Staraice. How is everone going?
Thanks for the prod, Deb. Officially finished the aforementioned non-writing tasks (of course now I have more tasks, but that's always the way) so I'll be looking to set myself an actual goal soon.
Btw, Sionainn, sorry for not replying. Was being a bit dense about forum layout and wasn't sure you were responding to me.
Looking forward to reading this goal of yours, Staraice, so that prodding may commence.
Indeed. *waves cattleprod around*

I desperately want to get back into writing this Summer. Time is definitely not on my side with two jobs, and an infuriatingly temperamental 'e' key makes efficient typing impossible..... BUT I MISS MY WORDS DAMMIT!
So I'm going to set a 2000 word target, and hope that I can get something written before the end of summer.
I'm going to say... 5000 words. Which doesn't sound like a lot, but is more than I've written in a long time. Like Ariadne I have the multiple job thing against me, working 5-7 days a week (most commonly 6) across three jobs. I feel like I'm going a little bit crazy, but that probably helps when writing :D
Oh, I hear yas on the crazy multiple jobs thing *grugs* I miss having weekends.
Feel free to start a thread to track your progress Staraice :D
I broke the internet!
Or I accidentally double-posted and I'll PM a Mod and ask them to delete the extra thread. Seriously though a bunch of code came up when I clicked submit and I freaked out a lot.
It happens. I think sometimes the server goes funny midway through a post and things don't load the way I should. The perils of using a non-dedicated webserver :).
It's fantastic to see so many people getting involved in OberNoWriSu and being excited about the words they're going to write. Huzzah for all!
Since I'll be on holidays as of Thursday next week, I really should think about setting myself a goal, too, but I honestly don't know what I want to achieve. This clearly calls for vague goals! I'd like to write another section of my current WIP (each section is usually around 10,000 words long) and I'd also like to write a bit of content for a website I'm setting up. So there we go. Goals!
I've only made it to 7k words so far. Maybe this is okay. A 25k target isn't impossible even at this point!
7k is an impressive chunk. You'll hit 25k in no time!

Considering we have until the end of February, I'm guessing 25,000 will have to be upgraded at some point. Well done
Seven thousand words is a fantastic achievement! Keep it up. :D
7k, and we're not even through December! Excellent :).
It seems that I accidentally forgot to say I was starting OberNoWriSu (not surprising given my lack of short term memory). Well I started on the first of December and my goal was 20, 000 words and so far I've done... barely any. Anyway, I'll start a thread and we'll see what happens.
Hi everyone, it's great to see so many people getting in on this this year!
I have to amend my goal, since all of December pretty much has been a write off... I only have managed two days of actual writing. :(
My main goal is to re-establish my daily writing routine of at least 500 words, and to continue to write scenes for my Yearnings novel, and maybe other stuff if the feeling strikes me. I will set a new goal for 5000 words instead, and adjust if I ever get close to reaching it!

I started for this summer without actually posting my goal anywhere, so I thought I probably should, in order to continue to motivate me. At the moment my goal is 50000 words, but the rate I'm going at might see it increased later.
Hi guys, question about word count marker thingys. I've gone to the website copied the code and pasted it in my signature but it doesn't show up when I post comments. How am I supposed to get it to work?
Thanks
Well, we're officially over half way thorugh OberWri?
How is everyone going with their goals? Failing miserably (I know I am)? Succeeding fabulously? Moderately making it?
I've seen a few encouraging-looking posts in various threads so hopefully some progress is occurring!
