Episode 5! One of the best episodes!! I love Kristin Chenoweth's character and vibrancy and her voice! OMG brilliant voice!!
Totally agree with Zier and Lauren - I never really liked Rihanna's Take a Bow, but I love Rachel's voice, and she did it so much better!!
My favourites have gotta be: Don't Stop Believing, Take a Bow... and almost all of the songs from episode 5!
Episode 5 was hilarious! My favorite part was when Kurt was drunk and he thought Emma was Bambi, and said "Bambi, I was so sad when those hunters killed you!" I almost died laughing when Emma told Will that Kurt couldn't have gotten the alcohol with a fake I.D. because he looks like "an eleven year old milkmaid."
I also agree with everyone, I hate Rihanna's Take A Bow, but was astounded by Rachel's version! When I first heard it I couldn't even figure out what song it was because it sounded so different.

I am hoping there will be an episode around the guy in the wheelchair! I feel so sorry for him, because he has totally been neglected in all the episodes. Even in the pilot where they were auditioning, they didn't even show his!! Poor guy!!
See I don't even remember his name!!
And also Tina, more on Tina!!
Artie! He's so awkward trying to dance with his wheelchair! I would love an Artie episode!
At least in episode 5 Tina had more than 1 line, but I would also like to learn more about her and maybe hear a solo.
I am confused! I just saw episode three a couple of nights ago! Are you guys skipping ahead on the net or are you based in the US?!?!
I'm in the U.S., so I think the episodes here might be ahead of the UK and Australian series. Sorry for the confusion Lauren!
Lol - that's ok. I am used to Australia being behind in these kinds of things so I figured that was probably what was going on...
Yeah I hate how slow Australia is, but I think Australia is only an episode behind America... I'm in Australia, and not being able to stand the wait (never been patient) I get my episodes 'in other ways' ;)
At least it's one of the shows that is fast-tracked, get addicted to Dollhouse if you wanna be annoyed about being behind America and having to resort to the internet :P
I still haven't watched Glee :(
I actually tried to watch Dollhouse but I completely failed at finding any links that you didn't have to fill in one of those stupid quizzes for...
I noticed a couple of you mentioned hulu.com...should I give that a try?
I don't know, my brother gets them from peer-to-peer I think. The first season has been on Foxtel recently, but I don't think that really helps now. Probably best to ask this in the Dollhouse thread though!
Oh you gotta Cat-eyes! It's fantastic!!
I am loving episode 5 with Kristin Chenoweth, she's such a fantastic singer, definitely the best episode musically :P
The other thing is I found the group song at the end of ep 5, and WTH is up with cutting out Artie's bits?? First, they didn't even bother to have his audition shown in the pilot, and now this. I'm really hoping they do something about this! I feel sorry for the guy! I remember reading somewhere about how the actor really wanted to get up and dance because it's his thing, but because of his role of the wheel chair guy, he can't..
I also have to say something about the inappropriate song - you guys will see episode 5
with Last Name - how wrong is that for a high school group!
and then in episode 3 Acafellas when they sang
Sex You Up at a PTA meeting with 2 HIGH SCHOOL KIDS IN THE GROUP!
Let's not even start with episode 2 where
the group sang Push It and some of those dance moves 8-|
And what about how so many songs are featuring Rachel and Finn in particular. Or that song with Kristin Chenoweth as the soloist and everyone else is back up.
Do show choirs really feature their best singers like that? I feel sorry for the rest of the group seen especially in episode 5 where
Kurt says Rachel is the star of the group, and how they're like losing motivation or whatever because she's not there - I added the latter bit in, but it was implied. I mean I KNOW it's true that Rachel is really a fantastic singer.. but come on! I don't think it's very fair
I know this post sounds very critical, but I was wondering if others felt the same? Don't get me wrong, I am a GLEEK through and through, and am thoroughly obsessed :P
I think the fact that the songs are so inappropriate is part of the humor.
I think maybe the fact that Rachel and Finn are the "stars" is making fun of show choirs, too? I've never been in choir, but I know when I was in drama club the same kids always got the leads. It might be so blatantly obvious that they're the stars and everyone else is back up because that might add to the humor? I've definitely noticed that too, Jossie, and that's the only explanation I can come up with.

I LOVED episode 5! Kristin's performance was wonderful, acting and singing and all! :D Definitely one of my favourite episodes - quite possibly my absolute favourite so far!
And yes, Australia's two episodes behind - I'd thought it was only one... :-/ I watched the third episode last night with my mum, and we both enjoyed it - I liked it more the second time, but it will never be one of my favourites.
I think they're going to have more songs with other Glee members in the lead roles. They keep choosing Finn and Rachel because they're the strongest singers, but since I imagine the Glee group will be doing a number of songs for the upcoming competitions, I think they'll spread the lead roles over the group more. I certainly hope so - as much as I love Rachel and Finn's singing, I loved Artie's line or two in the final song of episode 5! Mercedes is an amazing singer as well, but she at least has had a proper song, unlike Artie. From what I've heard there will be an episode focusing on Artie, so I'm hoping he'll get a solo or featured singing role in that episode. And I hope we get more Tina as well!
I agree with Aoife that the songs are inapproriate because it adds to the humour. I agree that Last Name isn't appropriate, but I LOVE Kristin's performance, so I can't seem to care! :P I guess it could be taken as a warning - the dangers of drink. |:|
OML episode 6!! Can I just say this episode shocked me and continue to surprise me? How funny was this episode!
And I have to say
I LOVED THE MASH-UPS! The best songs that I've heard - definitely going into my favourites list! Oml how funny was it with their hyper-crazy dancing! Vitamin D - finally GET the title of the episode XD
I am certainly glad that I wasn't able to find anywhere to spoil myself. Those of you following Australia, do NOT go on the net or look at spoilers, or even listen to the songs until you see the actual episode. They have such a great impact on you when you see it how it's supposed to be done!
One word: BRILLIANT!
I think Aoife was right - it's exactly because of its inappropriateness that makes this show so unique and SO FUNNY! Makes you feel fantastic - I'm actually quite hyper after that episode and those songs!! :D
hmmm - I think I will steer clear of this thread for a bit - I just watched episode four last night :-/
So, what episode was on TV last night? I finally saw an episode! I quite liked it, although what is with the glee club teacher hugging students? Inappropriate :P
Also, I was a bit annoyed that the funniest part (the footballers warming up at the game) of the episode had been on all the ads so I'd already seen it, and its impact was lost (they do this in movies too and it's so annoying!).
Yeah I totally agree CatEyes - it was episode four and I loooooved the football bit but like you, I was kinda bummed that they had already showed it on the ads. I was thinking about it and I guess its probably because, being a new show, they are still trying to grab in new viewers and it was funny enough to do that...
By the way, if you want to catch up with the first couple of episodes CatEyes, I sussed it out and you can watch the full episodes on the channel ten website :)
I am loving this series, but it's clear I'm obsessing! :P It's my 'thing' at the moment!
Episode 7:
Though this song didn't really have any songs that got me feeling all tingly, I still loved it! I think, for me, this series has the appeal and excites me because of the fantastic songs. For me, it's almost like the storyline is second hand. :) I love it though!
This episode was one of the best ones because of Sue! OMG those lines she has are fantastic! I can't even begin quoting them all! So inappropriate, so mean, so evil and all in all HILARIOUS! She made the show!
And I LOVED that there has been another song where it hasn't been pre-recorded. They really looked like they were having such a ball! This stuck out for me in particular, I just recalled now that we have the Grease song in the pilot ep, and also Finn's solo in the shower also in the pilot. This ep's song that wasn't pre-recorded was awesome, because they were all singing as a group!
Haha, and it is right, it is hilarious in its exaggeration. I don't know how Quinn ever thought she would get away with hiding her baby bump in a few months, or how Terry thought she'd ever get away with not letting Will come to those doctor sessions to see his baby. As if the doctor would be so easily manipulated. Oh how funny was Terry's sister trying to blackmail and manipulate the doctor?? "It's your fault that each of my kids are dumb, and have ADHD" Ha!
Oh I'm glad the other kids are being a bit more appreciated, though it took Sue to make Will see it. I was feeling sorry for those kids too.
I'm glad I don't watch it on TV, or watch normal TV just because I purposely avoid listening to tracks, or seeing previews online, so that the episode can have full impact!
CatEyes, you will find that the whole series is JUST SO INAPPROPRIATE. Hahah, you will see if you continue to watch! but the thing is it's so funny in its inappropriateness!

So I started watching this show on Thursday - I'm already to episode 7 (i.e. the most current American Ep ^.^)
What can I say?
I don't think it's going to be one of those shows where I'm gonna be totally addicted to it like Dollhouse and Firefly (i.e. I could watch over and over again), but I'm sufficiently interested to see what is happening.
I quite like the theme of 'breaking the stereotypes of highschool', and Sue does crack me up XD
I think my favourite episode so far was Ep 6, the dance off and they were all high XD Plus the songs were brilliantly performed.
I have to say though:
How do people feel about Will x Emma pairing? I mean, as much as I do not want to see a marriage die, I just can't believe the wife is doing what she is doing? I mean, has she not considered what Will will do when he finds out she's been lying to him for HOW long?! :P So that story arc has me sufficiently interested.
Plus, how can I resist bopping along to the songs. :P
My favourite character atm... besides Will is probably Kurt. I thought Rachel was a little bit too into herself, but she seems to be getting better/becoming more a team player.
Looking forward to this week's ep :)
New love for Puck since the new ep. Was a good episode.
But I came on here to cry! Glee won't be airing for another couple of weeks! No doubt, Australia will also get the 2 weeks delay, even though we are already behind :'( I always look forward to Thursdays! :(

GAH That annoys me - I just finished ep 8 :)
What I really like is the show exploring pushing the boundaries of what's cool and what's not.
I quite enjoyed the episode :D
And in regards to the pregnancy
:O When is Puck gonna let the bomb drop that he's the father!

Well episode 6 aired last Thursday in Aus and it was sooo good! I am assuming spoiler tags are not needed as I seem to be the furthest behind in terms of episodes watched...
Well, they did spoil the anticipation a little because they showed both the mash-ups in the adds...it was still really funny for me though because when I say the boys doing their mash-up in the adds I was thinking they were dancing really over-the-top and especially Finn was doing some odd microphone-wringing thing like he was really hyper and couldn't stop moving. Then it was all explained...CLASSIC!
I also can't get over how witty the dialogue is...I especially loved when Sue Sylvester told Will's wife about the threat to their marriage that came in the form of a "ginger pygmy with bush baby eyes" XD

A quick question. Where is the best place to see the eppisodes that havent aired in Aus yet? I tried Hulu.com but it wont work for me. Any other suggestions?
