Haha! Cat, there was a moment when I though "Matt Smith is going to jump in and save the day!", but then I realised that that was the thought of a sleep deprived insane person, and I came back to reality. I can't wait to see it! I think I'm going to cry in the Harry/Ron not getting along section, but it looked so good! I don't want to see Dobby die though, it was bad enough in the book! (And probably worse in the book than it will be in the movie for me, but I still don't want to see it).

Kaede, I know I'm going to absolutely ball my eyes out when it gets to the whole Snape-thing at the end. That is for me the most heart-wrenching part of the whole 7 books!

Oh! Thanks so much Kaede [act]pretends that she isn't getting teary[/act] gosh, even hand-drawn and written in French (at least I can read French), the scene about Snape's patronus still breaks my heart...
omg gosh Harry potter [act]fangirl scream[/act]
BB, i totally agree, i cried my eyes out when snape does a snape [/ doesn't want to be a spoiler]
me and my friend, were going to go see the next twilight movie and at the first shot of robert pattinson yell "CEDRIC DIGGORY LIVES! WE MUST TELL DUMBLEDORE!" and then we run out of the cinema and never come back :D

Marley that would be soooooo funny!
it would actually make my year.
i'm so annoyed that the trailer hasn't come out yet.
i'm completely obsessed with movie trailers now.
Thanks for the link Blackbird! I hadn't seen that trailer (obviously because it is new) :P it looks awesome! I'm so excited!!! ;D

My theory has always been that they'll end Part 1 just after xmas, when Ron comes back. It gives them the "Big Battle" against the snake/Voldemort in Godric's Hollow, and can finish on the high note of - one-horcrux-destroyed-and-ron-returned-and-the-quest-renewed.

Has anyone seen the movie yet?
I think it was pretty good, I'm due for a re-read of the book though so I'm not sure if they left much out. It seemed pretty complete the way they did it.
Spoilers! Don't read if you haven't seen the movie :P
I liked how they ended it with Voldemort breaking into Dumbledore's coffin for the Elder wand. And I love the effects they put into the story of the three brothers. It looked exactly like they plucked it from the storybook. They ended part one a bit later in the book than I thought, but I guess that just means they'll be dedicating the majority of the second movie to the big battle. Lol: George is feeling Holy/Holey :D Now I wanna see part two :(

Saw it last night! Loved it!
When I stopped to think about what they had missed out...I couldn't think of much :P but I think it's because I haven't read it since it first came out.
I'm glad they're spending so much time getting the details of this story out, too - despite wanting part 2 straight away :P
I loved that there was so much light-heartedness in the midst of the chaos/darkness. Possibly one of my favourite scenes was Ron and Harry in the tent, with Hermione's flame-in-a-jar - the panicked 'reducto!' XD
And Luna, as always, had the best lines! 'Now there's an odd thing to keep in your sock.'
I really want to see it again!
So, do we think I should reread the book (and the couple of books before it, I'm word perfect on the first four and rather sketchy by the time we get to six let alone seven since I was no longer an obsessed 11 year old by the time that came out!), rewatch the previous movies, both or just leave it before I see the movie?
Very excited as I'm going to see it tonight... :D I would have read the book, but just didn't have any time. There have been so many things that I've seen in even the trailers that I can't remember!

I re-read the books back near the start of the year (and the first two in Latin not long ago), but my boy and I are re-watching all the movies before we go see Deathly Hallows tomorrow. He's not read the books and it's been a while since we last watched the movies, so he barely remembers what happens in Half-Blood Prince.

I'm risking the dreaded cinema to go tonight. At least the friend I'm going with is used to me passing out on her.

It was so good! Although I was terrified at not knowing where they were going to split the movie. I think it's time to reread the series!
I would also like to point out that I wore all green, silver, and black and drew the Dark Mark on my arm in permanent marker to support Severus Snape. He needs more love. People in Gryffindor scarves threw me dirty looks while we were in line waiting XD
EDIT: Did anyone else find the cloud that came out of the locket after it was smashed (you know, the one involving Harry and Hermione kissing) extremely awkward?!
OML I SAW IT. I LOVED IT. I WANNA SEE IT AGAIN.

Saw it last night,, it was really good, and even the bits they changed ended up being really good.
I liked that they added in lots of funny bits, even if the book didn't, such as the dancing bit. The whole ministry bit was good as well, the guy who played Harry as Runcorn was awesome, So was the guy who played Ron as Reg Cattermole. Also the animated bit was awesome
Boo hoo, I want to see it! :-{ I don't know when I will...
