3. Through broken light,
and shattered dark,
comes the neverending grey,
that is time.
4. Would you go,
If I told you to?
Would you leave,
Or stay and choose?
To stay with me,
Could be worse than
This,
But if you leave,
Then you might
Miss.
5. “I notice you are inclined to participate in a rather… unfair fight,†She drew her sword as she spoke. “Would you still participate if I were to even the odds?â€
6. "Dear xxx
Thanks for your praise about the stolen exam papers. But I can't take personal credit. I have a friend with a talent for locks. You don't need to know any names."

8. Each time I pass,
it’s like another orbit
of the earth
- where I am the moon,
solitary and cold,
waiting until
I can see the sun again.

this place of memory,
this place burning with the smell
of loss - of freesias in the rain.
9. I was ten when the accident happened. One minute I was squashed between my 18 year old twin brothers who were fighting over some new girl at school, the next minute we were all smashed up against some truck which had crossed lanes. The last thing I remember is telling my brothers to stop arguing because she wasn't interested in guys, and then the next thing I knew I was awake in a white room, with things poking into me everywhere, my right arm and leg in plaster, my head almost split in two.

“She’ll never find her fork tay.†Dewbird said angrily, even at five the girl had an attitude and she stormed off. Myrtle stuck her tongue out at her younger sister.

14. I'm sitting here, I'm crying blood
You ask me what I'm thinking of

I wonder what brought back this pain
And then I start to cry again.

19. The complete darkness arrives quickly, extinguishing the sun as if it were just a mere candle. The girl’s journey becomes more hurried and her breath more ragged as the trees crowd in around her. The roots trip her up once again and she feels something hidden beneath the leaves. She clutches it mindlessly and as the wind pushes through the leaves, her mind conjures images of monsters and villains. The girl stands up and runs towards the faint light in the distance. She bursts through the trees, monsters chasing the whole way. She sinks onto the deck, basking in the protective light. Raw terror is still in her eyes, though the need to cry is disappearing.
