A couple of weeks ago I had a strange dream. I cant remember the beginning of it, but i do recall that it made me nervous and edgy, then all of a sudden it changes and it's just me, standing on a huge plot of concrete, all by myself. I turn around slowly to have a look, and theres a gigantic wave behind me, coming from nowhere, one of those waves you see in movies, ones that curl over the tops of skyscrapers.
Its heading toward me, the top already curling over me and I'm terrified, but I don't run, instead i just sigh and turn around and look in the opposite direction, waiting for the wave to break and crush me. But it doesn't seem to come, the top just seems to curl over me more until it blocks the sun and it gets really dark. Then it all suddenly collapses and I wake up.
I don't dream very often at all, but when I do, they're mostly dreams that scare me half to death and leave me lying awake for hours. This is the first dream that i remember involving water, which is weird because I thought my horrible subconscious would have taken advantage of my fear of waves long ago. When i was four I was in one of those huge wave pools at Wet N' Wild on the Gold Coast, and I got knocked against the wall, smashed my head and almost drowned, so I cant even deal with swimming too far into the ocean. Watching people surf on the television even makes my skin crawl. [img]http://s3.images.proboards.com/undecided.gif" alt=":-/" border="0"/>
Well, to start with having a fear of water never helps, but in dreams water/ocean nearly always symbolises the subconscious, so this could either be symbolising that you feel your subconscious is going to crush you, or that it is crushing you, or it could be telling you that you need to face you fears.
Do you think you get killed by the wave?
