Sounds like a plan. ;D I think a paragraph-style summary sounds great (maybe with the option of having a few shorter paragraphs on a more complicated chapter?), and I like the additions you've suggested, especially a list of characters - that would be particularly useful for ones that will return, like Elii and Rosamunde, etc...Just post any summaries back here, and we'll sort out a final format - maybe we could do a combination of paragraph-chapter-summary, page numbers per each edition, list of characters included...etc?
Min
Min wrote...She also advises Elspeth that she is friends with her brother, Jes, andcould you cange 'she to "rosamund' it sounds like the seditioner girl is the friend of Jes. Or maybe I just need to read it again?
Rosamunde also tells Elspeth that she (Rosamunde) is friends with Elspeth's brother, Jes, and how fortunate he is to be considered a favourite amongst the Guardians of the Orphanhome and the Herders.
Elii says the water may be tainted; the Herder priest binds Elspeth's cut for her and tells her the water isn't tainted, and they continue.Oh, and maybe you could just say:
Rosamunde seeks Elspeth out a couple of times, and comments on the girl's bold talk.
Elspeth Gordie is a member of a party of orphans, led by Elii and escorted by a young Herder, who are to harvest Whitestick, a poisonous by-product of the Beforetime that is cleansed by Herders to use in medicines. While checking just then, I noticed that the pedia doesn't seem to have general terms specific to the Ober books? It would be handy to be able to cross-reference words like "whitestick", "Beforetime", etc. (I'd be happy to help if it's not already there, and if it seems like a good idea?)
Am I right in thinking you mean chapter references? Maybe if we want to do the name referencing, we can keep track of everyone as we go, and then compile the information at the end? It might get to be a bit much though... :-/ Oh, and I found one of my copies of Ober earlier, so that will help! ;) (I actually have 3 copies, but one's on loan to a friend at the moment. :P)thats wonderful Min. *starts thinking of how much time can be found to play* I think the first chapter is looking good. When we get the lot done we could add to the names where they can be found in the books, for example, Henry Druid can be found in x,y,z. All takes time though, just wanted to put the suggestion out there?
