(That's the one I was thinking of :P Getting confused between that and 'hang out to dry' I'm bad at phrases and idioms)

So today marketh the last day of OberNo Summer edition. I hope everyone was vastly more productive than I was....[act]grumbles something about Muse abandonment and fleeing motivation[/act].... I know we have had several wonderful totals posted up well before the end of this month, so it looks like a nice productive summer of OberNo...yes? :)
This board will be closing down (so to speak) after today, but never fear! The Writersmerge and (if you are a member...if not, you can always request to join) Prodders boards are open 24/7. Not to mention that in a few months OberNo winter edition will be upon us, ready to inspire (or torment) us with more goals, deadlines and above all WORDS!!
Well done to all those writers who got words down over the three months, but an especially big W00T! to those who reached or surpassed their goals for the 2012/13 summer. [act]throws streamers[/act]
I just have one last request from you all. Once you have finished with your muses/inspiration/motivation....would you mind sending them my way?? ~:|
We might let the board go for tomorrow, as well - just to let everyone report back. I know there are still some people hard at work tonight trying to scramble down those last few words that their targets demand :). And I always say the day's not over till you go to sleep... Midnight is SOO arbitrary :P.
But yes, congrats to everyone who showed their targets just what they thought of them! And commiserations to those who didn't, but congratulations nonetheless for any words you did produce, because as we all know, 'any words are good words'. And let that be our motto forevermore :).
I reached my target of 20k today at 3.47pm :D While my words are spread over a variety of projects and short stories, I managed to get them down ;D
Good job to everyone else who participated in OberNoWriSu, whether you reached your goal or not!

This has been my most productive OberNoWri season so far, as I started with a target of 5000 words and finished it up with 27 549 words.
And congratulations to everyone who participated, whether it was a success or not :D
Good work, Vestie, and wow, Arwen! Epic!
Congrats Vestie and Arwen! Well done on making/surpassing your targets.
You were more successful than I have been. I've got 7500 words, 2500 short of the amount I set, but I'm happy with it, it's a start to a 'novel' or something, and I'll try to keep at it! I'm sure I'll have plenty of [strike]prodding[/strike] support from my fellow writers!
Wooo, Daniel! Excellent effort. And we shall surely prod.
And I'm done for Ober, as well. I finished my chapter 15 a couple of hours back, at around 79k words, and 80k was just sooo close, that I wrote a bit of chapter 16. So my grand total for this OberNoWriSu is 80,634. Which is, yeah, a bit more than I was planning :).

Great work Arwen, Daniel and Darga! Truly lovely looking word counts there :D
Wow, Darga! Huge, huge word count. And great job, Arwen and Daniel :D
Congrats to everyone who reached (or almost reached) their goals! I really enjoyed reading all your work. :)
I didn't finish my goal checklist, but I still did better than expected; 2 poems, a 2500 word fanfic and some bits and pieces. I also now have a new story mentally planned out and sitting on the back burner until Obernowriwin (or possibly wrisu...)
I made my word count with 8 minutes to spare! My novel ms is at 80 030 words with 80 000 my goal. Whew.
You had a goal and executed, Dweo. True commitment and grit - you should be proud. And your story is excellent. And good work, Bibli! You've achieved a lot and I've loved the snippets you've shared.
Congrats to everyone. I technically dropped out of the run in the first month, but I still wrote around 50-60k (can't be sure of actual amount since I've since deleted large novel sized chunks of words) so I guess, also yay? :D
Yay and grumble about deletions (glares)
