If it's just one thing ... I really miss Matthew, so I'd love to see him again and preferably with Dragon!
The identity of the Destroyer runs a close second though. And Maruman's story would be third.
I would like to know more about other lands, are there other lands out there with misfits? and I really love dragon's character, it'd be excellent if she went to the red queen's land and if her past was shown in more detail.
I really want to know a bit of everything. I definitely want to know who is the Destroyer, and if Ariel has something to do with them. I want to know about Seresh, and I want to know where Elspeth's quest will go. I'd really like a book that covers a fair amount of everything, even if I don't find out some things. I prefer to have a few things unanswered, but still have all the major answers. I want to know what'll happen to Dameon if he doesn't end up with Elspeth. Other things I want to know have been mentioned heaps. So, a big finish would be great.
Of existing storylines, I can't wait to get some kind of closure on the Dameon-Elspeth-Rushton triangle. But if I ould pick one think that I don't know will be covered to be explored, I'd like to know more about Dameon's background.
Oh my Lud! There is so much that I want to see and/or find out in the last book, since there are so many loose ends in the series! But, to put it down to the most important, I want to see:
Jes alive. I'm slightly fanatical about that, and it would be awesome if he was alive.
I want to find out:
Who is Salamander? I will die if this is left unexplained, and then come back to life so that I can command IC to create a spin off to flesh out everything unexplained in the series.

THE DESTROYER and what is supposed to get destroyed ie. whole world, or just the land

Maruman finally be able to rest in peace (he really has gotten old and tired and sick)
What the Agyllian's have to do with just about everything
Brydda be able to relax and settle down (I feel so bad that he has never been able to have a normal life)
If there really isa before time city that Elspeth gets captured by and where is Miryum
I don't know that I HAVE to see all of these things, but these are dangling threads that I would love a satisfying end to;
-Why is Elspeth the Seeker?
-Why do Elspeth and Jess seem to be the only Misfits with the "black killing power"?
(These two are kind of linked in that I often wonder if there is some symbolic reason that Elspeth has this power and is the Seeker? I used to think that Elspeth was maybe descended from the Misfit {vaguely mentioned once or twice in the series} who betrayed Hannah and the other beforetime Misfits to the government, and Elspeth preventing the second Great White is a kind of karmic redress?)
-What is Swallow's name, why is it significant, and what are the ancient promises?
(My current theory is that his name is Luthen, and that Analivia's name will be relevant because of the "Luthen's code is Luthen's heart" statue inscription in the Sending)
What's the deal with the Eden Project, Merimyn/Maruman, the Agyllians, and Kasanda disappearing from Sador?
(I think these things are probably connected and basically just want an explanation on this one)
Why do slaves need to be sent into the Entina pit?
(It can't be as simple as there's a giant, nasty creature down there eating them right?)
How is INES and artificial intelligence in general going to be relevant to Elspeth's quest?

I would like to know more about that mysterious soldier guard.
I can't quiet remember all the references to him but he is the one drugging the slaves (and Mathew) before they are taken away. He also recognises Dragon when she uses her talent to protect those children for the Herders and he might also be the gatekeeper who betrayed dragons mother (though that seems weird because he seemed keen to take over the RQL rather then to be a slaver). Brydda theorises that he is Salamander.
A proper translation of the sign clues might be cool too.
I want to see Rushton's latent powers really manifest into something powerful. I'm hoping that he's actually as powerful as Elspeth, but he just doesn't know it yet. Maybe he has a new power that hasn't been discovered before. We know about his latent powers from Ashling, but I want them to be something out of this world (or, the Obernewtyn world).
