So. This is my first OberNoWriSu.. Thank goodness it's not for a month as I would have failed already.. :P
My story has been playing around in my head for a loooong time now, and apart from notes, thoughts and theories, I haven't properly sat down and written anything. I did ok two days ago, starting properly by typing some of it out on my computer but I think I need to hand write it. It feels better that way. I'm going to try to start aiming to write something - anything, no specific daily target - every day. ^^; Maybe that will work? I want to write and seem to do ok when I do, it's just 'getting to it'..
So, wish me luck? :P Quite a few people seem to have these progress threads so I thought I'd post my lack of progress.. And hope for a little encouragement..? :)
x
Good luck Livia! I hope you're able to reach your target! (you've gotten further than me, you got a progress thread up! :P I'm too lazy to do even that...)
^^;
Thanks Briellen! Not much further, I'd say. I think I need to just sit and write! Even if it's awful/I don't like it the next day. It would be better than my current rate! :P
Yay!! Good Luck Livia! ;D At least you've got as far as putting up a thread! Hopefully it keeps you motivated!! Like Briellen said, I'm too lazy as well. I can't just sit down and write to save myself. I just like sitting on the sideline, reading what other people have written. And, I'd love to read some of your writing too :D
Good luck Livia. As you say, just get in there and write something. Nothing worse than staring at an empty page. It's easier to edit something you don't like than write it from scratch. And hopefully once you get going, you'll find the story will just keep coming and it will become a pleasure to write each day.
All the best! Let us know how you go.

Good luck Livia! I find OberNoWriSu really motivating because you know that somewhere in Australia (or elsewhere in the world) there's someone writing something that they'll report on here. I hope you get some words down, and give us an extract when you do! Again, good luck! :)
Good luck, Livia! Congrats on taking up the (metaphorical) pen and beginning, hope you hear from your progress :D OberNoWriSu can be a bit daunting, what with all those word counts, but stick to it and I'm sure you'll come up with a spectacular result. :D

Good luck Livia! Writing only gets better with practice! Hope you enjoy the challenge! :D
Well, I had a writing day today. It was weird, I'd had a random thought a few days ago about a story idea and was just going to take down some notes before writing my 'main story' if you will, but ended up writing an lengthy and somewhat pivotal conversation from this new story quite without intending to.
The main thing is that I'm very glad to have at least put pen to paper again. :) Thank you for your encouragement, I can't tell you all how much it helps. :) I'll have to type up some of my 1st story to get some opinions at some point..
Yay!! Go Livia :D I would really like to read some of what you've written :) Do you know roughly how many words you've written? Just keep going, you can do it!! Haha XD
Well done, Liv! It's great when the story just wants to get written :). Keep it up!
Excellent, good to see someone is getting the words out easily :D
Thank you Eeyore, Darga and Sionainn! ^^;
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of how many words as I've gone back to hand writing in my notebook but I was thinking that I'll keep writing it by hand and then type and edit as I go. I'm hoping to write some more today. Then perhaps I'll post a little something on here? :)
And yes, Sionainn - It was actually a surprise to me that the scene I wrote just came to me so clearly that I wanted to pen it down, pity it wasn't from my 1st story but hey, I'm happy with it... :P
Thank you all again!
My theory is that you can never have enough stories anyway. I'm sure you'll get that first one rolling eventually, but writing spontaneously as you seem to have done can often lead to the best results.
You should definitely post a snippet of some sort. :)
