Hey QueenV, it's not possible for reasons revealed in the story
The Dark Road. You'll need to read it to find out why :P
5) The Agyllians: I never saw in my previous reads how coldly manipulative they are. They really are callous manipulators and this comes across very strongly in the way they use poor Dragon.

I think you're reading them differently to me. The way I read them they're no more manipulative than Gandalf or any other fantasy character that needs to save the world knowing and understanding things far beyond what they're able to share with the people who do their bidding. It's not like they've ever behaved towards her completely without compassion.
Not to mention, you only ever see them interacting with Elspeth, who is human and one of the race that caused the problem in the first place, so they probably don't have a lot of reason to feel all that sympathetic towards her. Elspeth has speculated that the Innle title and legend is merely the Agyllians manipulating the beasts, but she doesn't know that and as you pointed out, her speculation is always wrong :P
I'm just mean that Elspeth's experience is more than possibly the exception rather than the rule, and it would be a perfectly understandable exception to make.
