HG: With that tie up we come to our even more closely guarded team, in fact, I don't think the names of these players were released until this very night, isn't that right Roy?
Roy: I think you're right HG. And the possible reason for this is that I heard most of them have been illegally living in a Land under the pretense that they are magicians, farmers and gypsies.
HG: And obviously, Quidditch players it would seem.
Roy: That's right. As luck would conveniently have it, our second team live in almost absolute isolation from the rest of their Land on a rather large estate, with plenty of room to hide the occasional Greenthorn plant and of course, practice Quidditch when they're not saving the world.
HG: So without further ado Roy, in the black robes tonight, all the way from the apocalyptic Earth of tomorrow, here come; the Obernewtyn Misfits! Under the master coaching of a very shady character Roy, one who simply goes by the name of Maruman.
Roy: Now I don't know about you HG, but I have myself questioned the sanity of this Maruman, who we like to call Kitty-cat as you well know.
HG: Indeed Roy, I don't know which selector in their right mind would have made such a choice for coach - there were several brilliant young candidates ready and willing to coach this side and it seems the financiers have opted for, lets be frank, the nutjob.
Roy: There was of course the young Llewellyn, the most obvious choice for a coach to me, what with his leadership and morale skills - but we'll be seeing none of the big man Brydda tonight, HG.
HG: Well something must be working, regardless of Kitty-cat's mental status, because he's grouped a few bang-up players tonight, and despite the odds against them I think they will give the Knights a very hard workout. Many have said that it will be a Knights' game, but I don't think they've seen the Misfit's Seeker or Beaters, have they?
Roy: No one's seen any of the players for that matter, and here they come now. The three Chasers are making their way onto the pitch flying some very archaic looking brooms, with what look like wooden horse-heads on the end, is that what they are supposed to be?
HG: I think so Roy, and that brings me to another interesting point about the community that has spawned this young team, it's that they are pacifists and extreme animal liberationists - I'm told that upon meeting the Knights, one of the Beaters offered the mighty Chewy a home in the free running barud.
Roy: Yes, but we've got to remember the different cultures these teams are coming from, and that's what this gathering is really about you could say, the merging of two totally different cultures, under a common symbol with common rules.
HG: It's beautiful, it truly is.
Roy: Meanwhile the three Misfit Chasers have made it out onto the pitch. We have Seraphim, the Brooder as we like to call him, probably the only Chaser in my opinion who is fit to play for the Misfits tonight.
HG: Well you might be eating your words later Roy, though I personally cannot see how Kitty-cat could have put this Chaser threesome together if he'd thought it through. Of course, next to the Brooder is the lovely Dragon, fresh from her recent trials and memory regaining session on the dreamtrails, is that what you heard?
Roy: I heard the very same HG. It is undoubtable that this young player's size and agility will be an advantage to the team, to the Chasers' combined attack game, but one would wonder if she has the mental capacity to understand exactly what her job is?
HG: All will be revealed in due time, Roy. And finally, before the show is over, we have the third Chaser, and possibly the most confusing addition to the Misfits' - the blind Empath Dameon. Obviously, you would think kitty-cat has something big planned that may require one of his Chasers to be blind, but frankly I wouldn't put my money on it.
Roy: Yes indeed HG, but here come the Beaters, and this is where I think the strength of the Misfits fast game will come from tonight - we have two very young, determined and athletic Coercers, Domick and Miryum.
HG: Young Domick, the Traitor I've heard a couple of people call him, might be a bit of a liability to the Misfits though Roy, apparently he's just come back from an underground torture cell. I just hope for Kitty-cat's sake that the Traitor doesn't in fact live up to his name either.
Roy: I wouldn't want to cross this team HG, with Miryum as a Beater - that girl has a very powerful arm, by the looks from the card table.
HG: Making his way onto the field now is the Misfits' Keeper, the very reclusive I'm told, Garth of the Teknoguild.
Roy: I think the kitty-cat's move here was to make sure that the Keeper was in fact larger than the target goal size to minimise the Knights' chance of scoring.
HG: Yes'it's just one blow after the other with the selections, you would think that with so many disabilities, so many players seemingly unfit to play, the Misfits really wouldn't stand a chance tonight.
Roy: Now I'm not going to say that just yet HG, because here comes the Misfits' Seeker, young Gordie, the Elf herself.
HG: Not to be confused with Gordie, that is Gordie Tallis of the QLD State of Origin side, Roy.
Roy: I don't think there's much of a chance of the two being confused HG, for one, Elf Gordie clearly as you can see, has a neck.
HG: That's right, she also has mental ability rivaling, if not exceeding the Muppet.
Roy: Any mental ability at all would automatically put her in a league above Tallis, HG.
HG: Just look at her, she's a picture of competitiveness.
Roy: Even if Kitty-cat did something more daft and called all three of his Chasers off the pitch, I'd say the Misfits would be in the running with Elf after the golden snitch.
HG: Well, there are the teams, ladies and gentlemen, and while we're awaiting the national anthems to be played, let's have a closer look at the Misfit's strengths. Apart from the almost certainty that the Misfit Seeker will catch the snitch, not paying any disrespect to the Muppet's abilities of course, but as you and I have seen, he isn't much of a mover without a lightsabre in his hand.
Roy: As Episode two proved to a lot of us, HG.
HG: Yes, well apart from the snitch opportunities, I think the best Chaser strategy for the Misfits would be to let the Brooder do all the work himself, and have Dameon and young Dragon cheer from the sidelines.
Roy: I do think we're being a bit harsh on them, HG, we wouldn't want to talk ourselves into a corner only to have the walls removed - I'm sure Kitty-cat had some reason to include the pair - some obscure and unforseeable reason perhaps.
HG: The strength will come from the Beaters' game I think, Roy. The Traitor and Miryum both have such a good Beating arm and are obviously so fit and so ready to take the Knights on.
Roy: If that's so, I'd say we will have a very low scoring game set out before us this evening.
HG: I would like to be proven wrong, Roy, I would love for the blind man and the Dragon to be major players in the Misfits' attacking game, don't get me wrong.
Roy: We certainly have a very interesting, intense game of Quidditch ahead of us HG.
HG: I'll drink to that.
Roy: We'll be right back to start the Celebrity Quidditch match of the century, right after this break.
