I want everyone to post their favorite or if not that, then a part that stands out in your mind.
---
When Elspeth is tied up on that island with the horses in the background, trees all around and a bunch of Malik's men are standing around her.
The ground is still muddy from the previous rain, hope was given when the horses come stampeding but is then shattered when Malik
takes Elspeth and no one seems to notice(except one person:).
They run for ages through the thick Forrest sort of area and Malik puts her down and his face is right next to hers, waiting for her eyes to open.
I love how Elspeth tried so hard to keep herself from giving Malik the satisfaction he wanted.

Just post what ever comes to mind :D I'm eager to hear peoples favorite/rememerable moments, Try and use some detail so I can imagine it again next time, Thanks :P
Easy, as a shipper my favourite part in the whole series is the last Chapter of Ashling when Elspeth finally tells Rushton she loves him. As a 14 year old girl (11 YEARS AGO!!) that filled me with gooey happiness.
The section where they escape from the Druid's encampment has always stuck in my mind - so dramatic - the storm, Gahltha on the banks too scared to go on the raft, Gilbert yelling something to Elspeth that she can't hear...then the discovery of Newrome (city under Tor). Since Farseekers was the first of the OC that I read, most of my favourite parts come from that book.
ohhhh my fave parrrt was whennnn awwww i cant even pick a fav parrrt ":( they are alll my fave parts lol if that makes sense lol
My favourite part would have to be in STK when Rushton is in an animalistic state with elspeth under Ariels residence in norseland and she convinces him to place his hand on the glass and then enters his mind. I've lost count of the amount of times i've read that part |:|
My favourite is definitely Swallow tattoo-ing Elspeth, i can't get enough of the Gypsies and this chapter provides the most cultural insight. It also builds to my least favourite part, why did Elspeth's tattoo have to fade?! This frustrates me so much, i can't see any story development reason as to why this should happen. And healing doesn't remove ink!

Actually, it kind of does. People with tattoos need to get them touched up every now and again for several reasons including the lymphatic system removing toxins from your skin (like ink). Removing toxins from your body is a kind of healing, think of your body removing heavy metals out of your system so that they can't do damage to your bones and organs, it's the same kind of thing. Elspeth's body is superb at healing and so I guess that can include it's ability to remove toxins.
My favorite parts are when Elspeth enters Dragon's dream world, and when Elspeth is in the beforetime facility in The Stone Key
A part that sticks in my mind is in Ashling when Garth is showing teh guild leaders the Relchlier Clinic Reception and Elspeth is walking behind Rushton glaring at his back, then he turns around.
I love the end of Farseekers. Basically from the part where the supposedly dead Elf rides in and sees the 'ruined' obernewtyn all the way through to her and Gevan slapping a high five after saving the day ie. getting rid of the soldierguards by faking the plague.
It's hard to pick a favorite part. Of course I love the Elspeth/Rushton scenes in the Farseekers, Ashling and The Stone Key. I'm a big Elf/Rushie fan!!!!
Then there would be the parts that are clearly related to her work as the Seeker, like finding signs, etc. It reminds me that Elspeth has to complete her duty as the seeker as well as help her friends.
Any actions scenes or Ariel scenes or scenes when something I'd revealed are also great.
I think scenes with Elspeth and Rushton are my favorites, even before they are together. It's funny how clueless Elspeth is about Rushton's feelings for her!!!!
I am just reading the keeping place, and I have decided it is my favourite book. For over 400 pages we get to see elfs life at obernewtyn. I love all the lesser characters who get a bit more spotlight in this bit. I do get sad at the lack of rushton, dameon, matthew and swallow in this bit though.

I was thinking about this the other day, and now having stumbled upon this thread, had to post.
I am absolutely hanging out to re-read Ashling, because I really loved the Battlegames. From start to finish that is my favorite part of the books (so far ;) ). I had both a feeling of disappointment and elation when they lost the games overall. I think it stuck because I has this sense of pride that they had proved themselves, to themselves, and it didn't matter so much anymore what the other Rebels thought.
I guess that comes from being the underdog for much of my life :P :)
I love every single interaction between Dameon and Elspeth... ha ha :rolling:
Especially in 'The Keeping Place'.
Prince Dameon in the Empath's song, Elspeth's reunion with Dameon, Elspeth waking up in the healing centre with Dameon beside her etc etc.
I remember I was in New Zealand, on the South Island when I was reading 'Keeping Place' and I'd just got off the plane and I was terribly, incredibly sick (made worse by the flight of course). So I was in bed on my first day of holidays and Dameon was my mantra against all ill, my companion and my muse. I was in the Healing centre and he was looking after me - lol :) And of course when I told my friend...
Friend: "But you can't fall in love with an imaginary character - it's just not possible - it's not real love!"
Me: "Oh yes it is! And what do you define as 'real' anyway?"
Needless to say, she just didn't get it!!! :P
Yeah... so every scene in the series with even the slightest mention of Dameon are my favourite parts. :rolling:
I really like any mention of the Beforetime... such as (The Stone Key Spoiler!) when Elspeth uses the laptop and she's left wondering how something can record her voice .
I have just read the chapter in the Sending where
Elspeth and Rushton spend a night in Louis Larken's cottage and Rushton finds out about her quest...I like the idea that they both know everything there is to know about each other. It's so sad when she binds Rushton's spirit so that he can't remember the quest :(
I think that has to be one of my most favourite parts from the whole series :) Especially after what happened to Rushton in TKP and TSK.
Can't isolate ONE fav part in the whole series, but my fav quote in The Sending is:
"Urgent lemons?"
'Nuff said XD
Like others have said, there are so many amazing parts. There's one obvious one that stands out, though (and I'm getting terribly sentimental in my old age), and it's the same as Larana's. When rereading the series in preparation for The Sending, I found myself hanging out for the scene in Ashling where Elspeth lets Rushton into her mind and says "Ravek, my Elspethlove."
On a sadder note, the scene where Sharna dies in Farseekers has never left my mind, either :(.
And where Elspeth admits to Matthew and Dameon that she's a Misfit, in Obernewtyn, and finally feels a little less alone.
And.... Stop, Marta, stop :).
My favourites? That line in Ashling, the scenes with Domick in Oldhaven in TSK, with Rushton on Norseland in TSK and all of the past dreams of Cassie. And of course...
Urgent Lemons!!!
My favourite part?
well, I have two.
Firstly in Obernewtyn when Matthew tells Elspeth to run and he says "We love you, Elspeth".
and secondly in Ashling when Mattew is being taken and he says "I love you, Elspeth"
ggaaaaahhhh!!!
I spent a whole lesson at school explaining how Matthew thinks he'll never see Elspeth again so he says this and my teacher said i should read the required text :) oops :P
I have to post a few because there are so many.
‘There was something familiar about the man sitting alongside the woman who had spoke, and after studying him a moment, I noticed his wooden leg and realized it was the crippled metalworker Rolf. He sat toward the rear of the chamber, but I could not resist sending a greeting. He stiffened and looked up, his eyes scanning the empty balconies until he found me peering down at him. I grinned and waved, and he laughed aloud, causing those about him to stare at him in puzzlement.’

Three scenes in The Sending.
The Love scene where Elspeth reveals that she is the Seeker to Rushton and opens her mind to him for the first time.
The part where Moss is killed because I don't believe sex offenders should live.
The part where Elspeth has realized everything she has lost and breaks down crying with Swallow there.
‘ “Go!†Matthew sent.
I heard Ayle’s purposeful tread behind me.
“Please!â€
With a heard as heavy as a stone anvil, I signaled Gahltha, and he moved forward. After a few steps, I glanced back and saw Ayle retracing his steps, shaking his head and muttering about half-wit gypsies. At the same time, I saw Daffyd take up the leading chain of the last little group of shackled slaves and move toward the gangplank of The Calor Lady.
“I love ye, Elspeth,†Matthew sent fiercely, meeting my eyes. “I’m sorry about Dragon an’ all…â€
His mental voice faded as he reached the gangplank and walked out over the water.
Every instinct in my body rebelled against riding away, yet I knew Matthew was right. There was nothing I could do to help him.’

‘ “Maire!†he called suddenly.
An extraordinarily ugly crone poked her head through the brocaded curtain. Her skin was much darker than the man’s, and her snow-white hair hung to her waist in a stark contrast, but she had the same black penetrating eyes. Squinting against the dusk light, she regarded him with disfavor. “What do you want?â€
“This girl was whipped by some louts in the market. Her back needs treatment. Can you heal her?â€
The old woman sniffed and raked me from crown to toe wither sharp eyes. “Can I? Yes. But should I? Will I?†She took up a battered box of woven reed, climbed from the wagon, and hobbled over to the smoldering remains of a fire. She was tiny and wore a bed dress of deeply embroidered silken material the color of the summerday sky. Setting the box on a log, she flicked a derisive glance at the man. “I suppose you rescued her. Your father would be delighted to hear what a hero has sprung from his loins.†’
- Ashling, Isobelle Carmody, pg.176-177
‘I scowled and gathered my will to give him a coercive mental jolt, hard enough to penetrate his mindshield, but, without warning, he stepped forward and kissed me full on the mouth.
Wit and breath fled at his audacity.
Releasing me, he spoke. “If I had known it was so easy to silence you, I would have done that sooner.â€
I scowled, mortified and furious that I had not pushed him away. Did he think because he was Twentyfamilies he could kiss anyone and they would like it? Childishly, I rubbed my hand across my mouth.
“Revulsion rendered me silent,†I snapped. “Why did you do that?â€
Heavy eyelids drooped secretively over his eyes. “Because I wanted to,†he said.
I did not know what to say to the simplicity of such an answer.
His mouth shifted into a lazy, curing smile. “But what I want even more is to know this: Why are you pretending to be a gypsy?†’
- Ashling, Isobelle Carmody, pg.170-171
‘ “Do not waste your own final moments with lies,†the Herder jeered, pushing a gloating smile into the woman’s face.
Her hand snaked out suddenly as if to grab him, and the priest wrenched back with a strangled cry. She gave a throaty laugh of triumph. “What are you afraid of, old goat? Do you think my gypsy skin might be catching?â€
“Beg, demon! Proclaim your guilt, and the cleansing will be swift,†he screamed, almost hysterical with fury.
She laughed again, a humorless bark. “Cease your ranting, old man. Kill me so that I don’t have to see your ugly face anymore.†’
- Ashling, Isobelle Carmody, pg.4-5
I'm sorry there are so many but there are places where I found my self laughing out loud and crying like a baby and to me that is what makes a good book and I can't single one out.
‘A raucous squealing from behind us broke the tension. We followed Ariel toward a small shed, but before we reached it, a man came out carrying a small pig. As he approached, I could see that he was not a full-grown man at all but a well-built youth of about nineteen. He set the pig down in a small pen and wiped his hands on his trousers before turning to us. His greeting to Ariel was amicable but reserved; he seemed wary of the younger boy. I decided to probe him to find out why, when a strange thing happened.
He was telling Ariel about the pig he had just delivered when he broke off midsentence to stare at me with jade green eyes. Some instinct of danger made me fear I had betrayed myself, though I had only skirted the conscious thoughts that echoed his speech, and I had found no sign he was mind-sensitive. I expected him to denounce me, but instead he seemed suddenly aware that he in turn was watched. He then let his eyes rove over our entire group, but I felt sure he did this only to cover the attention he had paid me.’

‘Knowing took the force out of my reaction, and I was glad to see her look disappointed. “This is your news?†I asked sourly.
For a moment, Erin looked nonplussed; Then her cheeks mottled with anger. “You are to be bonded tonight,†she added viciously.
I shrugged. “I don’t bother with such things,†I said lethargically.
“You… w-what?†she stammered.
“What does it matter to be bonded or not? It is all the same in the dark,†I added crudely.
Her face reddened, and she stepped away from me as if she thought I would contaminate her. “You dare speak of such things to me?â€
I shrugged. “If you don’t like such talk, why are you the one to tell me of this bonding?†Taking advantage of her loss of balance, I stepped toward her.’
- The Farseekers, Isobelle Carmody, pg.118
‘ “Where will you go?†I said unthinkingly.
Brydda looked at me for a long moment. “Few would expect an honest answer to such a question. But I believe I can trust you. Does it seem strange to you that a wanted man trusts his instinct over caution?†He smiled when I did not answer. “I have a kind of infallible knack for judging people.â€
“Yet you say you were betrayed…â€
He nodded grimly. “By a man I loved like a brother. But I did not misjudge him. He was tortured and made to speak, and there will be a payment for that. Come, tell me the truth. Are you not a seditioner or a runaway yourself, that my mother should tell you my secrets?â€
I stared at him in fright.
“I told you. I have a knack at guessing. But don’t look so unnerved. It makes us allies, not enemies,†’
- The Farseekers, Isobelle Carmody, pg. 162-163
‘Dazed, I let myself be lifted in. The cart lurched as Brydda climbed in behind me. Reuvan shook the reins, urging the horse on to a wild pace.
“You are hurt?†Brydda shouted over the clatter of hooves on the cobbles. He nodded at my feet.
“Old wounds,†I shouted back. “You followed me?â€
Brydda shook his head. “You were gone before I realized, before we could talk of ways and means to rescue your friends. But I knew where you had gone.â€
“You said helping them was impossible,†I protested
Brydda shook his head. “I said only a madman would attempt such a rescue. I forgot you did not know me well enough to realize that I am just such a man.†’
- The Farseekers, Isobelle Carmody, pg.172
‘ “Brydda, I am a Misfit,†I said. “I can stop those dogs from attacking. You think-everybody does-that Misfits are only true dreamers and defectives. Useless. But there are other kinds, too. Misfits like me and my friends. I can make those dogs do what I want, and I can talk to Jik from here, inside his head. If you can handle the men, I can deal with the dogs.â€
I could hardly believe myself revealing so much. Reuvan was staring at me as if I had gone mad.
“I’ll prove it,†I said desperately. “Watch Jik. I’ll make him look toward us and nod.†I sent a message to Jik, asking him to respond as obviously as he could without alerting his guardians. He turned his head slowly and nodded with a subtle wink. Reuvan hiss in astonishment.’
