You can turn autocorrect off on the iPads, btw. Pretty sure I've done so anyway, since I haven't yet been driven to throw the thing when I've used it for writing.
Anyway, I think planning and research should kinda count anyway. They are often integral to the process for some people, so great work regardless of words actually written.
And thanks for the link.
It actually sounds like you did a lot of story-related work, rather than procrastinating! Good luck with your goals for tomorrow. :)
Day 12: 2103 words
Total: 13,331 words
As I promised previously, I doubled my daily target. I was filling in gaps that needed filling in. It was not an overly incredibly inspiring writing session. I might have to do some brainstorming before tomorrow's writing session. I think taking off a couple of days has made me forget or lose the good onwards motion I had.
The only solution to that is to ensure I write everyday!
Hurray for writing! Back on track. This week's target for another 10,000 might not go as well as I want it to, unless I do double daily writing targets for the rest of the week/weekend.
Huzzah for doubling your daily target! That seems like a pretty good forward motion to me.
Brainstorming sounds like a good idea. In fact, I think I'll steal that idea for myself, too. My story needs a bit of direction at the moment.
Good luck with your writing tomorrow. :)
Congrats on doubling. Hope the flow of things comes back for you soon.

Day 13: 953 words
Total: 14,284 words
Not quite my daily word target, but words nonetheless!
I'm very lucky that work is winding down, meaning that without the normal after work preparation/marking means that I have more time to do whatever. So I get my TV watching and relaxing out of the way, and the routine thus far has been at about 8pm, I settle myself down with only some music and my laptop to write. This has worked quite well so far!
Tomorrow marks week two! I would love to get to 20,000 words but might be overly ambitious. If I can get half way to my overall word target by end of next week, I'd be quite happy!
Now for some brainstorming...
I dunno, if you still average the word counts that you have been, I reckon you can make 20,000 easy, Jossie. Good luck with it :D
Fantastic work again, Jossie! I fully believe you'll be at the half-way mark by the end of next week - you're so determined.
I'm in awe of your dedication :). Keep it up.
Day 14: 0 words
Day 14: 1301 words
Total: 15,585
Missed another day, but I won't let that get me down! I am determined. I am out for dinner on Tuesday, but will aim to double my daily target tomorrow, and continue my daily targets every other day!

Going along nicely all the same.
It's fantastic that you're already preparing to compensate for the days when you can't write! You'll be able to enjoy yourself knowing that you've already taken care of your word quota the day before. Sweet!
You really are making amazing progress... Is it time for another peek at what you're doing on Prodders? :D

Hurray for actually keeping my own aim for today - I was a little doubtful that perhaps I was being TOO ambitious. But I did it! I doubled (plus some more) my daily word targets! If I could manage to do this every night, then I would easily get to 50,000 words (Katie, your video inspired me!). Well, at least 20,000 words is not that far off!

Awesome Jossie. I will just send you my ideas and get you to write my story...Ok?
That's fantastic, Jossie! I'm glad my video played a small part in inspiring this. :D You're so close to 20,000 words now!
Fabulous, Jossie! There's going to be a novel under your belt in no time!
Amazing, Jossie. Knew you'd easily hit 20,000 this week. Just look how close it is and it's only Tuesday!
Day 17: 0 words
Day 18: 880 words
Total: 18,957 words
Ahhh under my daily goals. But I am still happy that there were words produced. Must celebrate any win, because any words count!
Tomorrow I have a cousin kk dinner, but I will most likely be able to leave work early (bludgy day tomorrow - as was part of day: I managed to do some reading today!!) so will try to fit some writing in. Perhaps I can bring my home laptop in and try to do some writing. I shall see!
Also, LOVING Scrivener thanks to the tip of Katie and the help of Shonks. Of course, I've spent time fiddling around with it (it's so wonderful to see all the scenes from this OberNo and from writings of the past few years combined). I've created a separate project just to keep track of OberNo (although the word count differs slightly from my above totals - it's actually a tad bit more, but I'll keep going with the numbers I've been putting).
I am so excited about this program as it has helped to fuel my motivation to write! (also managed to inspire my cousin!)
Ah yes, Scrivener is so pretty and shiny. I can't believe how long I went without it thinking 'pfft, Word is the best'.
And congrats on words despite being under your goal. I think having steam rolled through the weekend, you're allowed a bit of leeway anyway. Only just over a thousand words until you hit 20k :D
No words yesterday. I ended up having to finish up some last minute shopping for today's last day of work, and then had to quickly change and go off to dinner. Then I was a little intoxicated and too tired to do any proper writing by the time I got home.
I could try now, since there's not much on until 10.30.
You're so close to 20,000! That's amazing!
I'm so glad you like Scrivener! One of my biggest incentives for NaNo was to finish it so I could get the 50% off code at the end and it was so worth it. I love the corkboard to bits because I love to write in scenes and it's just ideal for that. Thank goodness the thing was created by a writer, because he has looked inside all of our heads and known exactly what we needed.
Keep up your fantatic work, Jossie. :)
