For those still following the Wheel of Time series, book 13 - Towers of Midnight - is expected to be released November 2010, while book 14 (the last, suposedly) - A Memory of Light - is due late 2011...

Kaede, when Robert Jordan died just after finishing book 11, his notes were passed on to Brandon Sanderson, who was to complete the series.
Originally Jordan had intended the series to be only 12 books, but Sanderson has found that the amount of material needing to be covered to finish the story is too great. (maybe something to do with all those millions of characters ;P)
Sanderson first announced that the series would be 13 books, then it became 14. As book 13 is nearing completion, it seems unlikely that the series will balloon to 15, but it could happen ???
I just started reading the series at the start of the year and loved it. I was rather put out when I ran out of published books, so it's great to know the others will be out soon rather than waiting the however many years dad had to. I have to say that i hope it can be streatched into 15 books, it gets so depressing when series (particularly so long) end.

Not sure how many people read them, but the sixth book in Chris d'Lacey's Last Dragon Chronicles, Fireworld looks to be released January 2011 in the UK.

Oh, I read those Chris d'Lacey books! I never know when the next one is coming out until I spot it in the shops. Is the series called the Last Dragon Chronicles? I could never figure out what they were called - I just referred to them as the Fire Within books. :)

NB. Just saw that Lioness said that Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex is the 7th and final book. I read an interview with Eoin Colfer where he said that the next book will be the last. Thank goodness! The Atlantis Complex ended too quickly to be the last one. No release dates on the final book yet though. And thanks Lioness - I didn't even know it was out til I read your post!

A book I found out about awhile back but forgot to put on here is a part of two of my favourite series. As in, same person, same story, different series names...they're all triologys. After this she said she's doing a THIRD triology for it! :D

The third book in Scott Westerfeld's Leviathan trilogy, Goliath, will be released in October 2011.
Also, on a recent episode of Better Homes and Gardens, there was a short interview with Matthew Reilly and he said that his next novel, which will be a Scarecrow book, will be released around December 2011. (Edit: The book is called Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves). Anyone else think that that's a strange name for a Reilly book? :-?
