Hi everyone!
Since this seems to be the thing to do, I might as well join the fray.
Probably will post descriptions of what I'm doing rather than snippets, as I may want to send off poems for publication, and poetry magazines are awfully strict about not publishing something that has already appeared elsewhere in any shape or form.
Anyway, things on my to-do list:
1) Write some vignettes based upon my notes from my monthly walks around the Botanic Gardens (Melbourne). I'm thinking of creating a parallel world based loosely on the Gardens, where they go from utopian to dystopian over the course of a series of vignettes.
2) Start writing poems about my experiences in the US, UK and Netherlands where I lived and/or visited during my teens and early 20s.
3) Post more regularly on my blog
Dutch Politics in English.
Admittedly, the last one is a safety net in the event I don't manage 10,000 words of poems and vignettes (quite likely), but I have been meaning to post again for ages.
