Yes, you should totally draw inspiration from kdramas! Maybe some horrible rich person starts a vendetta against your main character's family. Or a girl could fall in love with a boy who thinks she's a boy. Or... vampire aliens, perhaps.
Congrats on the words, though. All of our word counts are looking so healthy after these past two write-ins!
God job on all the words today :) That library has proven to be a very productive work space.
Don't listen to Shonk :P. Make some people hug, instead. (And really, that's what Shonk is asking for :nods:) Congrats on that word count!
So the strike hit ... Working through it. I just need to get into better habits. My writing at home rate is practically nil ...
Keep you updated
Hmm, maybe you need to find yourself a library, Nef.
Are the words making placards and formulating catchy chants? Oppress them! Oppress them good! There is no liberty for them; they are your slaves!
It's entirely possible this may not be the right approach...
'Course it is. It's also about suppressing creativity! Um... hang on. :P
Turns out the library at customs house is really good for writing! and I look out on to the harbour bridge!
500 words and counting ... will let you know the final tally for the day when I'm done.
That sounds like an awesome place to do some writing. I should have probably taken advantage of my holidays and tried to find a nice place to write… perhaps I can make it a weekend thing!
Yay for words finally, Nef. Being busy and real life really is not helpful to being productive :P
I'm going to claim at total of 1600 for the library visit. It would have been more but for a) reading manga online and b) struggling to reform some characters (and therefore alter some of the story to something more manageable and realistic ...)
Well it certainly sounds as though you've found a resolution to the strike! Good luck with your target (although I don't think you need it - you're already doing brilliantly).
Nice, glad you've found somewhere good for writing.

The only problem with libraries when it come to writing is BOOKS
Yay for happy writing places and wonderful word counts!
Heading back to the library this weekend. No writing is happening. Cogitating is happening, but brain-hand transfer is not taking place.
The same thing is happening for me. Ever since the heat and my roadtrip, I seem to have lost my writing rhythm. Good luck for your writing plans this weekend! I hope it all goes well.
This week's update: 1600 words for a selection criteria thing, then 2200 story words today. Not huge, but I'm stepping back to do some world building and character/story planning.
Still enough to get in the average amount of words for the write-in, so good work! :D
Haha, how was your Sydney write-it? Sounds like a productive couple of hours :)
Excellent work. We need to set up a stream so we can see you working as we are working! That's an amazing amount, Nef! You have been super productive!

Strike? What strike? Glad the words are flowing for you.
That's an impressive amount of words for today! Virtual write-ins can work!
... well someone needs a cattle prod...
What? Who said that?
All I can do is bother you with cattle props, alas.

Things seem to have slowed down in general this month.
Chalk up 1000 more words and a story structure change!
The story was getting bogged down and BORING (I was bored writing it) so now I've shaken it up and made it more character driven than action driven. Yay!
