Definitely ;)
Great work, Katie. Do you know how far off you are finishing the draft for your novel?
At this point, I'm aiming to finish it up at around 100,000 words and then have a serious look back at the structure. I have an idea for what I want to do with it and it should hopefully give me a chance to add a lot more words and detail to it all.
Nice :D Good luck with getting it done.
Thanks! It's weird to realise I'm actually quite close to that target but on the other hand, I'd really like to have the first draft done so I can get to work on making it better.
Right now, though, I'm having a debate about whether I should do some sneaky writing while I'm at work. I just had the best idea for a situation into which I could dump my characters and I want to start writing it right now!
At least jot down some notes. You don't want to forget!
You can do it, Katie! We all look forward to the next Observer edition, and look forward to your updates on how you go.
I feel like we need a weekend virtual write-in just to get ourselves back into gear! (although I think that's what was intended in this month's write-in... oops)
Video is excellent and I do like the message that you should heed: JUST WRITE! :)
Thanks, Jossie! The videos are a lot of fun to make but I've felt a bit fraudulent of late, given that my rate of writing has slowed down so much.
A virtual write-in sounds great, actually! Maybe we should set one up for this weekend via the Facebook group? I'll post there and see if there's any interest, perhaps. I think we could all do with a bit of encouragement to meet our OberNo goals, or to keep going, in the case of the people who've already finished.
My goal for today: raise my total to at least 35,000.

Awesome video Katie. Your word count is also awesome.
Hope the words got done tonight, and ditto on the video.
Thank-you all! :)
I didn't quite meet my target tonight because I possibly spent a bit too much time making a start on some knitting projects. The onset of all this rain has made me feel like beginning some preparations for Winter!
However, I did write a bit over 700 words, so this is how things stand now:
TARGET: 40,000 WORDS - CURRENT: 34,534 WORDS
WRITING PROJECTS
1. NaNo project: 25,020 of 25,000 words - (100%)
3. Final LorF episode: 8,965 of 10,000 words - (89%)
Oh wow! You are so close, and it will be achieved in no time! Great work despite the interruptions :)
Huzzah for the virtual write-in! Thanks to the added pressure of technically being the host and therefore needing to set a good example, I've written a touch over 2,000 words so far today.
Things are looking a little bit like this now:
TARGET: 40,000 WORDS - CURRENT: 36,576 WORDS
WRITING PROJECTS
1. NaNo project: 25,020 of 25,000 words - (100%)
3. Final LorF episode: 11,007 of 10,000 words - (100%)
Nice, good to see those shiny 100%s!!
100% woot! Congratulations! And fantastic work on getting so many words today.
You are so close to your overall target!!

nice addition Katie. 100% always looks good
So, my grand plans for reaching my 40,000 word total last night were completely ruined by a migraine. Yay! I may currently be sneaking in some writing at work so I have a head-start on my writing plans for tonight. Hopefully it'll go a lot better than last night.
Good luck! I'm sure you can do it. But if it might help, I will send out positive writerly vibes as I walk my dog this evening. ;)
It was most appreciated - thanks! :D
I've written just over 1,000 words so far, which means I have under 1,000 to go before I reach my total. So excited!
Good on you, Katie! You can do it!!!
