She *does* vaguely know all five signs now, right?
Also, a little off topic: I have this very strong but fairly baseless suspicion that Daffyd is the Kasanda blood. I only have two reasons-the first being that he has been there since the start and obviously has a big role to play, plus he always pops up when something is happening. Second, here's a quote from page 41 of Obernewtyn when Elspeth first meets Daffyd: "
"Two men came through the front door...There was something unusual about them but I felt too numb to try and figure out what it was. Then it came to me. They were very tanned, as if they had spent their whole life outdoors. Half breed gypsies were that colour but this pair wore plain brown working clothes and looked like farmers."
It strikes me as odd that there is such seemingly random emphasis on their skin tone when they are NOT farmers-they are traders-it makes me think that Daffyd really *is* a half breed, and therefore possibly the Kasanda blood. Swallow just seems too obvious, much as I would like to see him go off alone with Elf on her quest. Anyone want to debunk this theory?
Hey thats a gd point Alexis,
and Daffyd does seen to pop up at the most convinient times in the bks doesnt he?
Has anyone considered the big twist might be something so silly like that its all a dream...? Or even that we are reading Cassys predictions? I would be very anger and bitterly dissapointed if this was to happen, though i doubt it as IC is a fantastic writer.
Any thoughts? and 1008 pages!, im hoping it will fit into my tiny schoolbag... 8-|

No, there's no way IC would make it all a dream, or Cassy's predictions. Not only is she a much better writer than that, I don't think her publishers would let her! ;D
From what I heard, the book is 1000 pages, and really very large. :O You may need to use an extra bag...
yeah, your most probably right. I think reuvan might turn out to be the traitor (or Ariel just true dreamed), theres something suspicious about him. Any thoughts on who else would be the traitor?
I can't see that at all. To me Reuvan has as strong a moral code as Brydda and unstinting loyalty to him at the very least. What motives are you giving him? And what reasons do you have for thinking that?
to be honest i really dont know, thought id just speculate, and again i will speculate i think a possible twist might be that Elspeth is the destroyer and Atthis might be evil and hold a grudge on the beforetimers who mistreated 'her', since all are connected. And shes using Elspeth's power to send the world back into the age of chaos again. Probably Farfetched but tell me what you think.
Oh, i got TSK today! and it does fit into my tinee tiny bag! ;D YEY

Wow, you're so lucky! A rediculously large proportion of people on this site seem to have managed to get early copies!
Possibly changed my mind about Reuvan-I reread/skimmed Ashling and TKP today and you're right, Reuvan not only does quite a few suspicious things, but he is also in a perfect position to be the traitor.
Hmmm. The bit about Atthis is interesting. That's been discussed quite a bit-Elspeth really being the Destroyer, I mean. I tend to think that since *Atthis* has told her she's the Seeker then that's rote. Elspeth's pretty dense so I tend to doubt anything she thinks. But I think Matthew or the Doctor is the Destroyer and Ariel will lead/goad them into it.
Just re-read Ashling - what about that captain who recognised Dragon? Where is he going ot come back? Will he too fall in love with Elspeth?
HAHA, ;D everyone falls in love with Elspeth! Yes i am SO wondering who he is, it might be possible that he was the gatekeeper who killed the red queen, or even a 'henchmen' of the gatekeeper.
Yes i know i am SOOOO lucky!, well if anyone lives in Australia, (GC) then its at Angus and robinsons Westfield. And i do think reuvan might be the traitor but the only evidence is slight suspicion, but thats good enough for me! ;D.
Wow the doctor the destroyer?, hmmm thats the first ive heard of it, is he alive? (just started TSK). NO matthew is not the destroyer 8-| alot of signs point to it but no, *depressing sign*, he probably is.... :-|
