For the first answer, do you mean "The parrot was mute"? I just assume you do... The second answer is very close, yet not close enough. Because no-one got the third answr right, I'll give everyone a clue: The nam doesn't carry all of them at the same time (but he still gets he and the balls over in one crossing). Think of AIR.
YES!!!! THANK-YOU!!! That was agonising... I've got some more...
1. If Midas sat on gold, who sat on Silver?
2. Two women used to train for running at a lake. They ran at the same speed, had the same endurance. The two women used to rise at the same time, ate at the same time, then go for a run around the lake. One woman ran in one directon around the lake, and would take only 80 minutes. The other woman would run around the same lake, but would take 1 hour and 20 minutes. How is this possible?
And just for fun...
3. A nam went out walking. He didn't have a hat on, he didn' thave an umbrella, nor he wasn't bald (basically he didn't cover his head). How come he didn't get a hair on his hair wet?
4. Now, seriously, how come the man didn't get a hair on his head wet?
I'll have to think about the first two, but the last one could be two answers.
a) It wasn't raining (you never actually mention the weather)
b) he was walking on his hands
The third question is correct. The forth is a trick question (don't assume that the details mentioned in the third question actually apply in the fourth). The first is a question that only certain western booklovers would know. I only got this question out of a book, so don't ask me if I'm a western booklover, 'cos westerns don't appeal to me that much.
1. The lone ranger at on silver- Silver was the name of his horse
Im not a western book lover either but i remember the lone ranger from somewhere

For number 2 - did the other women run in the water around the lake.
4. Did they go walking undercover?
and ooo well done Hannai for no.1! That sounds good?
Yes Hannai, your answer is correct (just for official confirmation). Read the riddle for the women carefully.

4. Prehaps the other women ran in the other direction - which was up hill therefore a harder run
Nope. Think - how many minutes are there in an hour?
Ohhh ... lol!
1hr 20min = 80 min, so they did actually take the same time!
That was good [img]http://s2.images.proboards.com/smiley.gif" alt=":)" border="0"/>
OK, here are two riddles:
As I was going to St Ives,
I met a man with seven wives,
Each wife had seven sacks,
Each sack had seven cats,
Each cat had seven kits;
Kits, cats, sacks and wives,
How many were going to St Ives?
Elisabeth, Elspeth, Betsy and Bess,
They all went together to seek a bird's nest;
They found a bird's nest with five eggs in,
They all took one, and left four in.
1. The man?
2. Did they all find diferent nests?
1. This one's right (it was 1)
2. But this one's not right ... It was the same nest! I'm not sure how to give you a clue without giving it away ...

The second one: Elisabeth, Elspeth, Betsy and Bess are all one person :) The names Elspeth, Betsy, and Bess are all variations of Elisabeth :D
They are? Well, I never thought it, but I'm actually learning something! Most things I join are purely for my enjoyment. I never thought I'd find someting enjoyable and educational!
Much knowledge comes to you when you read your mother's old baby name's book out of sheer boredom :P Tehehe.
Ah. My mum ain't got one of those, so I can't. Oh well...
Sometimes it's good that you can't read books belonging to your parents... I read my Dad's "Mysteries of the Unexplained" and had nightmares... :P

lol, I was going to give a clue so that nobody wasted their time doing that, but well ... I didn't. ;D
Yep, ur right Rilla! I got those riddles from a riddle picture book I have. The pictures sorta give the riddles away though ... For the Elizabeth one, there's a picture of a girl picking an egg and people yelling out the other names to her :P

Lol you should have given us pictures! :P
I think I can procure more riddles...
1. How can you drop an uncooked egg three feet without dropping it?
2. Is it possible to name the capital of each and every one of the United States in under 50 seconds?
3. To celebrate her tenth birthday, Anne drove a nail into the trunk of an oak tree. When Anne returned fifteen years alter, how much higher was the nail if we assume that the tree grew at a rate of three inches per year?
4. In what sport to the players use raquets and not a ball?
I think that will do for now...
1. Start it four feet above the floor
2. ?
3. 45 inches?
4. Badminton
First one is right. So is the fourth one. But the third isn't. Yet.
Well, two out of three ain't bad! ;)
