Thanks! I was so excited when I added my word count from yesterday to my spreadsheet and saw that it had taken me over 20,000. It's just as well I increased my word count!
The plan for the next few days is to add as many words as possible because I'm not sure how much time I'll have for writing when I'm off on the roadtrip with the Failboats. Hopefully, the State Library will work its magic on us all again on Wednesday.

I made a small start on it today by adding a bit over 1,000 words to my NaNo story.
TARGET: 30,000 WORDS - CURRENT: 21,649 WORDS
WRITING PROJECTS

If all goes well tomorrow, I want to make a start on my 3,500 word story because I had an idea for it today that could make it into something quite different and even more fun than I anticipated.
Or maybe save it for wednesday and see if you can write the whole draft at once :D

Thanks for your lovely comment about my characters, Jossie. I'm definitely trying to make sure they have distinct voices, but it can be difficult at times.
Most of today was spent out doing fun things (and buying lots of books), and then I went out to dinner with some of the Failboats, so I've only had a chance to add 558 words to my story today. So far. For a while there, I thought I might have to write up a job application in a hurry, but it turns out I'll have time when I get back from the roadtrip, so that time is now free for some more writing before tomorrow's write-in.
Here's where it all stands now:
TARGET: 30,000 WORDS - CURRENT: 23,279 WORDS
WRITING PROJECTS
1. NaNo project: 14,246 of 15,000 words - (95%)
Ah. Yeah. Now I see why I might need to push that target up again.

It's probably about time I shared something a little longer in Prodders, too. Hmm.
Thank-you all for your encouraging words! I am about to head off with the Failboats for six days, so I'll be a little bit absent from here. Hopefully, I'll get a whole bunch of writing done and prod a couple of my friends until they join in, too. Keep up that business with the words and I'll see you all again soon. :)

It was a great trip and I had a great deal of fun travelling to cheesy touristy places and talking with my friends and reading. There wasn't much writing done, though! And when we got back, we arrived in a heatwave where it's too hot to do much beyond count down the hours until the cool change on Friday.
Despite all of that, I have great plans to get back into some writing today. I have targets to meet!
You do have targets to meet. And other writers to inspire. Jossie and Shonk are still rattling along like steam trains, but other people have been a little quiet.
A bit of your zing will have everyone up and writing again!
