I'm pretty sure that's the old date, it's been pushed back again since then as we heard in
this interview.
I understand your frustration Loz, but remember that this series was originally meant to be a trilogy. Bearing that in mind, it should have been finished 15 years ago and I think a few months is hardly anything compared to that :P. Besides, think of all of the wonderful things we've gotten out of waiting, trips to Sador and kidnappings, taking back the land and Magi performances. There's no way all of that could have been crammed into a trilogy! And then there are her other novels and stories, I mean, given a choice between the Legendsong saga and an earlier release date for the sending I'd pick the Legendsong saga every time. And then there's The Dark Road (Just finished, SQUIIII!) would you honestly choose a 2010 release date over that?
Not to mention Obernet! I mean, when you have an entire series at your fingertips you tend to pick it up, read it, put it down and forget about it. Having to wait for the next one is what keeps your interest, there might well be a lot fewer wonderful people here today if the books series had been finished a long time ago. I mean, now we're here we'll never leave, but you have to get here before you can stay. And then there's all the fun people have had in the theories and thoughts forum. There wouldn't be nearly as many threads in there if there'd been a quick conclusion to the ober chrons.
Think of all the wonderful things we got from waiting and try not to get too upset ;)
